Beautiful park! Worth stopping by and take beautiful pictures. It is a historical place named after Jessie ball bought the acres around the park and donated them to the city to avoid developers from buying it.

One of the lesser known, but equally priceless, gems Jax has to offer. I've read once that this smallest park houses the largest tree, and that basically is what Jesse Ball DuPont Park is about! It has a few benches, walkways surrounding the beautiful branches, and the tree itself. It is absolutely gorgeous in the early evening, especially at sunset. Heads up, no parking close by, but I happened to visit on a weekend, and I could park by the bank opposite to the park, as it was closed. A definite must-see if you're a resident or a passerby.

This is not your regular park this park has one of the largest trees in the South east. This Oak Tree is right in the middle of Jacksonville Florida how many city's can say that? As you can see by the pictures that the tree is so large the limbs are on the grown. I found parking not a problem ( we were the only people there) . I think the reason is its not well known by people outside of the city and the people that are from the city have been there at least ( or should) many times. At one point in time the city was going to cut it down to build a parking lot ( years ago) when they did not see the value of such a tree I am glad that the parking lot did not win over such a Tree of beauty. So... if your in the Jacksonville Down Town area or just passing threw on I-95 stop by and say Hello to The Treaty Oak its in a small park but, its what is there that makes this park what it is.

I've been here about twice, Not once found parking. Unless your a local (which I am not) you'll probably know (From the review above). But I drove around till I found something. There is Handicap and bus parking in front of the entrance, But you can simply just park there yourself, I don't recommend it though. Other than that being under the big tree this park isn't a big deal its like 10min relax till you get bored. But seems like a good place to take a break if you work near by.
