I happened to see this event on the open so I decided to grab the kids and give it a try. Kids are 16 so they are easy to get to go to things like this because they love to eat. You know I guess I love to eat too. So when we walked in we had to park a block away because there were a lot of cars around. Unfortunately Jacksonville doesn't have very many parking garages in useful locations so you kind of have to search for parking but we managed to find one in front of the Chamblain's book mine. Right when we walked in there was this itty-bitty little camp her that was selling coffee and I didn't get any but I thought that was kind of cute. There was also a stage with the band performing in they were actually pretty good. There were several types of stands half of the plaza and the other half was pretty much dedicated to food trucks and stands. I got some really remarkable toffee although it was $12 for an 8 ounce can but it was really really good. There were some interesting crafts for sale also. Were a bunch of food trucks there including some regular favorites and a couple I was not familiar with. I don't know if they rotate them out or not but it was interesting to be able to sample all the different trucks in the same location. It was kind of chilly tonight, it would've been better if it wasn't so cold but of course that's not the fault of the planners. I will definitely be back for the next one of these because I really enjoyed it.

It's worth a trip to Hemming Plaza to check out this market. If you want to check out some of the food trucks that you have bookmarked on your list, this is the place to go. It is a foodie's paradise a long with fresh produce and local shopping all under the big Jacksonville sky. A very unique market because it's held in the evenings where you could plan a cool "date night" with your significant other, sipping on some local beers, checking out the artist and vendors and really feeling part of everything that's making Jax a cool place to live. Just get there early enough so parking shouldn't ever be an issue as street spots are free after 6pm for everyone. Thanks City of Jacksonville.

Wow! If you haven't been downtown lately, please go check this out!! They have really transformed Hemming Plaza into a beautiful area with the fountain, flowers, then for the Jaxsons Night Market they have an assortment of food trucks out there (a bunch of good stuff!) then they have all kinds of vendors selling things : handmade soaps, special coffee, jams and jellies, macaroons, rice ( that was grown here in Jax ! So cool!) I pretty much wanted to buy everything! They do the night market the third Thursday of each month from 5- 9, I think....it was a great night to go down and eat dinner sitting next to the fountain and Enjoy Jacksonville.

Jaxsons Night Market is another draw to the downtown area of Jacksonville. This event goes down the third Thursday every month, and while the location has moved a couple times during their first few months of events, I think Hemming Park is a great place for them to be. Ran into a few Yelpers and a few of my favorite vendors when we stopped by to check it out. Participation may vary from month to month, but we sipped some cold brew from Vagabond Coffee Co, we munched on macarons from Aster's French Macarons. We perused Food Truck Lane on Laura and scouted some veggies from Black Hog Farm. Local favorite Intuition was on tap with their beers, but I wish they could have had something else to offer other than their standard three (Jon Boat, I-10, & People's Pale Ale). It's not my favorite thing to do, but driving downtown really isn't as bad as I used to make it out to be.

I have been a big fan of Jaxsons Night Market ever since I stepped on the grass lot on the corner of Laura & Adams. The ladies and gentleman who put this together deserve an around of applause. From the jump, I believed the night market was a success and since then it has just grown into its own little monster. Now there are more vendors, more food trucks and music, which equals a great evening to chat with fellow jaxsons. With all that being said, I am glad they moved to Hemming Plaza. It is definitely what the night market and Jacksonville needed. It was getting a little tight in the corner, but the plaza opens the market up to new opportunities.

It's much better at Hemming Plaza. This is a bigger spot so they can bring in more of everything. They have farmer market vendors like Twin Bridges and Black hog farms. They also had a cluster of clothing trucks from Sally Ann Handmade fashions to belle of the boulevard and even a couple more that I have forgotten their name. I did get to talk to Sally and she's says they are coming out with some more male gender oriented stuff. They also had a bunch more food trucks and you know that make me a happy fat guy. The weather was great again not a cloud in the sky. Nice and cool with a little breeze. Oh yea Aster was there with her soon to be world famous macarons. I had to eat one just cause. I know her and things always taste better when you know who made them. So another great night for Mike and Jaxson Night Market.

Tonight's Jaxons Night Market was a blast! This is the first one we've been to but it's obvious how much Hemming Plaza and downtown in general is generating local culture. The Fusion Food Truck was fantastic - a friend and I had a really flavorful Tikka Masala, perfectly fried Veggie Samosas, and a Falafel Wrap between the two of us. Everything was reasonably priced. The layout of the market is perfect for the Plaza. Food trucks to the west, vendors and crafts to the east, and fashion trucks to the south. Great folky live music on stage and oversized chess and checker boards to play on. There's definitely something for everyone to see, with all the vendors selling unique goods. The surrounding businesses were also open so we got to peruse the Main Library, Chamblins Uptown, the MOCA, and Sweet Pete's. I can tell interest in the market will only increase and bring in more. Come celebrate the local culture.

Finally got a chance to check out the Night Market. Reminds me of a nighttime version of Riverside Arts Market but mostly food vendors! Lots of food trucks that were serving up food from around the globe. Lots of dessert too! Family and pet friendly. The venue turned out to be better than expected since the residentially challenged folks that normally occupy that area seemed to have been displaced elswhere. If you work downtown and get off at 5 then you need to come grab your beer and dinner here on the 3rd Thursday of every month. I bet it beats sitting in traffic wondering whats for dinner.

It was a nice event to check out but I was hoping for less food trucks and more art and craft vendors. The beer price was pretty good, it was 2 intuition cans of beer for $8 plus they included nice hemming park cozies. The live music was nice but I just wish the food trucks did not play prerecorded music that drowned out the live band that was performing. Had a pretty diverse selection of food and I was very happy with my banana curry and beef samosas that my husband and I shared from the Thai fusion food truck.

My wife and I finally got to check out this market. I was not very happy with this and it my be because of my age. There was lots of food and not much other market items. The place selling beer did not have many choices and the beer we got said it came from Intuition Ale House and it was horrible. It was a great size but it was really more of an outdoor club. Lots of 20 - 30 somethings hanging out and drinking the awful beer. Most of the stuff was more pricey than it would be at another market like Beaver Street or Beach Blv. I now heard it moved to Hemming Plaza so I need to take another visit.
