Jax Fish Fry

Had to try Jax Fish Fry because I love a good lobster roll. I want to compliment the staff both ladies working were fantastic! The lobster roll was good but not great. Had plenty of meat just not enough flavor. Wife agreed with me for first time. Now the French fries were very good that I ordered another side of them. Key lime pie is worthy of 5 stars. I will try the fish fry next time. The place was spotless very clean. Food was very fresh made right in front of me. I would suggest having clam chowder which I love and would have ordered.

Nice and clean location. They were closed at baymeadows location. So I wanted to try this location since I've never been here. Lobster roll was good as always. Staff were nice.

I've been hearing wonderful things about this restaurant and wanted to try. I would encourage management to take phone orders or take out, I was around the corner finishing a doctors appointment when I called in, I was told they don't take phone orders, while not the end of the world, it's an inconvenience for people that are on the run and need to pick something up quickly. The store is really nice and clean, the take out order didn't take too long which was good. The lobster roll was delicious and fresh, did not disappoint.

Always a delightful experience! We've been here numerous times since they opened in October as well as their first location on Baymeadows location. The lobster roll basket is always our go-to. Delicious cold chunks of tender lobster meat nestled in a warm soft potato roll. So good that I just had to order another to indulge later. LOL. We also tried the fresh shrimp and fish baskets. Love that the batter is not overly thick, golden to perfection and pairs nicely with their homemade tartar, cocktail and Jack sauces, all with a nice kick! Excellent home style fries cut on the premises and vinegar-based coleslaw comes with the baskets which makes it an excellent meal. Make room for Dori's fresh desserts too! If you are craving chocolate, we highly recommend the Chocolate Treasure. OMG so moist that you'll want your very own! LOL. We also enjoy and highly recommend the Mini Coconut Slices... heavenly with coconut on top and moist layers throughout. *:｡ﾟ \ (･‿･) /ﾟ*:｡ﾟEveryone is super friendly and attentive making sure you are 100% satisfied as they stop by to check on you. Lobster roll is delicious! I called to place an order to-go, but they don't take orders over the phone. You can place an order to-go once you are there or go online and order through DoorDash for pickup which is what I ended up doing. The hush puppies and yummy as well. Will def be coming back for more lobster rolls!

It was great to see Dori and Roger again at the Grand Opening of their second location !!!Staff was welcoming, hospitable and super responsive as always. We ordered two Lobster Lover's Rolls and a Fried Cod Basket. Make sure to get lots of the Jax Sauce and Remoulade (enjoy this for the Onion Rings) while waiting for your order.Food is consistently delicious and the only disappointment was Dori's moist, savory and uber DELICIOUS Chocolate Treasure Cake wasn't available due to oven issues on opening day. Dori noted oven was fixed and that she was baking tonight so we will be back again tomorrow to partake of some of THE VERY BEST Chocolate Cake in Jacksonville !!!Huge Congrats, Dori and Roger, and we will continue to look out for those potential future locations on Racetrack Road and Durbin Park's second phase as these would be even much closer to home LOL !!!

Like the Baymeadow location, this is a counter service store. Walk in and grab a menu. Small menu to choose from.Place your order and pay. Wait a few minutes and your food comes out fresh. Pick up your food from the counter and grab some sauces.Seating inside and out. Nothing special but was clean.The food is good. I got the fried clams which were good. Only issue with the clams is that as I worked my way through the platter, the clam pieces got pretty small. The onion rings were good My wife got the lobster roll. She thought it was good but seemed a little skimpy on the fries.

Ate lunch here yesterday. Order at the counter and then pick up food. The portions and pricing were great. Food exactly as I wanted. Cookie sandwich was DELICIOUS. Restaurant was clean and had both indoor and outdoor seating. Will be back. Pretty sure my toddler would like this place, seemed somewhat kid friendly, easy to clean/ wrangle a kid.

Clean and simple from the ambiance to the food! Straight to business , they know what's best and they're sticking with it. My mom was visiting and wanted seafood, so we decided to try Jax Fish Fry. I should've known when we walked into this place at prime dinner time on a Friday night and it was empty. I realize seafood is higher priced so I thought nothing of the $42 I spent for our two orders until our food came out.We ordered the fish and chips and a shrimp basket with an added order of fish. What i received was nothing short of a joke. About 7 shrimp and one piece of fish in the mixed basket and about 10 "chips" for almost $20. The fish and chips came with two small pieces of fish.The water tastes like it came from the pond out back. Y'all really shouldn't have skimped on the RO system. My entire family left hungry after eating and won't be back. I give this place a year.Edit to say: the owners have come back and called me a liar. My mom goes up and talks to "Reagan" and makes a comment about the portion size to which she was basically, albeit politely, blown off. Y'all feel free to upload the video.She came back to the table and we decided we weren't saying another thing about it because it was of no use and there was zero need to be nasty to the people working. I'm not sure why you'd want us to. We just decided we'd probably never come back. As far as people, two people came in. You can also see on the video where, when we walk in, a family of five walks in with us and immediately turns around and walks out.Since they want to call me a liar, I'm going scorched earth. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time at this place. Palm Valley Outdoors is right down the road and the owners are far more professional and the portions are much better for the price.Feel free to look at my profile. This is my first review.
