I haven't been back to the Regency Library in many years, not since it has been remodeled. I loved the way it used to look but was very pleasantly surprised by how it appears now. It is very spacious but has an incredible selection of just about everything imaginable in a library.Even though I no longer have small children, I poked my head into the Children's room and was very impressed. I know my kids would have loved it when they were younger. My friend actually lives closer to another library but prefers to come here because of the availability of everything. The bathrooms were clean and appeared to be well maintained and the parking lot was very generous.

I used this library for an award ceremony & interest meeting for my non-profit organization. This review is on Community Room A not the actual library itself. You can go online to request a community room depending on number of people & see which library can accommodate you. Overall an easy process, helpful staff, & flexible times/dates

I watched this building go from the ground up when I worked in the Ed Ball building. This is the most magnificent library in the world in my eyes, at least in "my world"! There are multi levels with stairs and elevators. They have a large amount of computers as well. I do like them because they let the homeless access to the library and the computers. They don't discriminate. Kudos to the Library for that. They also hold classes here as well. I love the wood work in this place. I am friends with the Carpenter would did the wood work here. Great job Jacksonville for supporting such a wonderful library.

I absolutely loooove the Storytime for the kiddos. They follow the STEAM structure with learning activities after the story and "dance" time. It's a great way to engage children in learning how to socialize and communicate. It gets the wiggles out and is the perfect prequel to preschool or Kindergarten. Perfect for babies to 4 year olds!

After years of procrastinating, I finally stepped into this library. The children have been itching for library cards lately because they are trying to expand their reading horizons. To open a library card they require either a birth certificate or a social security card now and a state issued identification (drivers license). I guess too many books go missing so they need a better way to find you if you miss your check-in date. This library is very old school. It reminds me of my childhood in school. Similar shelves. No fuss, no muss. Just basics. It isn't fairly large but has a decent children's section. The sections are divided up but fiction and non-fiction, A-Z. I was able to find Harry Potter for my 10-year-old and plenty of Captain Underpants books for my 7-year-old. They have a self-checkout system that avoids having to wait in line and is so simple a child can use it. They even provide a step-stool for tiny ones to get in on the action. Books are allowed out for 3 weeks. The librarians action really helpful and sweet and are willing to answer any questions. I will be back more often to see about books for myself. They also have dvd's that you can rent for a week. I will definitely check out their selections.

My kids and I went to library to get books bc my son needed to complete his reading log. Due to the cut backs a lot of the libraries close early or not open on certain days. However Regency square location stays open to 9pm on Thursday they open at 1pm. They have a very large children selection and it goes by grade level which made it very easy to find the area that we needed. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have online learning games that my daughter participated in while we were finding books of my sons liking. They also have self check out which is convenient if you are in a hurry or the main help desk has a long line. Very clean and festivals for the holiday season. We had a very good experience!!!!

What you would expect of a library is what you get here. I mean, the only noise being made in here is the air conditioning and the book checkout device. It's perfect for reading; as a library should be. It is not very modern but like the old school feel of it. Takes me back to when I was a kid and used to like going. Although it's not crazy modern it does have ample computer terminals for your use.

The Regency Library is great for families! They have wonderful in person and virtual events for kids, tons of resources, and of course great books to check out! My girls love going there to play. For the summer, there are scavenger hunts and other activities as well as the summer reading program--read 15 mins per day for 15 days and get a free book! They also have curbside pickup for checked out books for those who are covid-conscious.
