As a conservative estimate, there are twice as many sketchy booths and MLMs as there are legitimate home and patio businesses. There are multiple unbranded raffles that turned out to be harvesting data for things such as timeshare sales. A majority of the kiosks are reminiscent of an indoor mall -- selling questionable products such as $200 skincare or hair appliances (with aggressive salespeople) and "magic metal" bracelets. There are multiple MLM schemes there, too, and a startling number of booths promising to fix back pain. Also, food options are very limited, and food and drink prices are exorbitant -- and no outside food or drink are allowed. There are some local food vendor booths with samples, at least, and they were great.Overall, it feels like you'll spent 90% of your time dodging aggressive sales folks with dodgy products that are unlikely to even be home or patio-related. I have no plans to go again unless the management gets better standards for representation, and I feel sorry for the legitimate businesses who had to present near some of these booths.

The husband and I went on a Saturday. We had a lot of fun! We are new homeowners, so looking at all of the displays of projects we could do was really enjoyable. We found some terrific deals too! Verizon was on location (got a great can't beat deal there!). We found these Click heaters that were cool. We grabbed some, and have used them multiple times since the show.

I got free tickets this year to the Jacksonville Home & Patio Show from a friend so me and my boyfriend decided to go the last day. There was a mish-mosh of home improvement vendors here that were pretty welcoming and gave informative demos. We enjoyed speaking with the guy selling tankless hot water heaters and the rep. for John Deere equipment, but that was about it. Everything else seemed a bit over our price range if we were going to do a remodel on our home and we didn't see anything that we couldn't live without. I guess if we had an unlimited budget, this would be a fabulous place to make contacts. On a positive note, we didn't pay for the tickets nor our parking.

If you own a home and you haven't been to the Home & Patio show, you've been missing out. We've been venturing down to the Home & Patio show ever since we bought our house a few years back. If you are in need of anything - and I mean ANY thing - for the house, this is the place to be. Multitudes of vendors of all types: foodstuffs, home improvement, kitchen appliances (large & small), pools, garage updates. We got a hybrid water heater two years ago at the spring show & our electricity bill immediately felt the benefits. They have small-scale celebrities appearing throughout each weekend (spring & fall) offering tips, tricks, and backstage gossip. Even if you don't end up buying anything, it's fun to meander around and dream about what you would do if you had a new house. And now they partner with food trucks on Sunday & a plethora of trucks park out in the courtyard for everyone to enjoy.

A real waste of time and money. Too many duplications of vendors. If I need a new roof or pain reliever this is not where I'd look.

In the past I have gone to the spring show every year and set up vendors when needed for the current year projects. As a senior citizen I do not do a lot of the projects myself. This year I need a new roof and pool repair. I always felt it was bad to charge entry to an event to spend your money. This year I found that seniors were charged the full price and did not go and do not plan on attending in the future. Admission was barely worth half price, it is not worth full price.

As a vendor of this show, this had to be one off the worst shows I've seen. The hours advertised are not the real hours, because about 3 hours before the show "ends" vendors are already leaving. The promoters of the show, did not do a good job, leaving the crowd sizes small. However the worst part of the show are security, and the people working the show. Vendors and general public are not allowed to bring any sort of food or drink into the venue, unopened or not, and are told to dump it out, or take it back into their vehicle. This includes water. Everything the vendor eats has to be bought on site, and the prices are absurd. If the vendor needs anything for their booth, they must buy or rent it directly from the venues. To rent a chair it was 25 dollars. If you need water for displays, you must pay to use a hose. The venue was large, but did not have much variety, and had leaking ceilings after a storm. As for the other vendors there, it was a lot of the same stuff. Vendors are hassled by security that changes their rules everyday. Unless you are looking to go to a show with vendors that are unhappy and will be unenthused to help you, then I suggest that you skip this show.
