We often go here when in town. It's open late, has outdoor seating, and serves Guinness. Can't go wrong there. Sits right along the road, so you can people watch. There are also games and billiards to play.

The food and atmosphere are fantastic. Great owner that is very accommodating. The ribs and onion rings are the best! All the beers from the brewery were great.

It happens. Yelp sets very low expectations. The reviews for Jack's were a mixed bag. Word on the street was even worse. But you find a reason to go anyway. So when a friend who is involved in the new brewery opening today told me to stop by, I agreed to do it for her.Well guess what...those preconceptions are mostly shot. The BBQ pork sandwich was very tasty. It didn't need sauce but I put some on to add a little moisture. The fries were hot and crispy. The slaw was amazing. Service for the food part of the experience could be be summed up as gruff. The edge needs to be a bit honed on the gal who was at the bar.Then there was the Brewery. I'll make note here but will elaborate on my review for the business, Bootlegger Beach. I had the IPA and the Marzen. The former was a classic West Coast IPA with a balanced hoppiness. It's a strong beer. The latter is a very good version, slightly malty and a little sweet. I'll be back to see where this all goes.In the end, I say we should sometimes look beyond the reviews, take a chance, roll the dice...the popular consensus might not be exactly right. Life is an adventure, enjoy the journey, cuz the end is certain

Normally I don't go to restaurants that don't have at least 4 stars. This last Saturday I was driving past with some friends and they wanted to stop in as they hadn't been there for years. Well the place has a brewery now so that sold it for me. This place is really cool, as we had already eaten I can't comment on the food but the Irish stout and IPA were really good. To top it of we could sit drinking with our legs in the pool.This place has had something for everyone, beach dive bar, pool room and a cool new small batch brewey all connected together. Enjoyed talking to Brud about the beers he is brewing.

We brought our service dog for dinner and after ordering, the bartender states this is a "no dogs allowed" establishment.We corrected her saying our dog is a trained service dog, and rather than correct the situation she made the assumption that our service dog was an emotional support animal. And said regardless she isn't allowed because they can't afford the insurance. Again, we have a trained service dog.However they allow wild cats so that's great.It's Florida BBQ so have reasonable expectations

Absolutely outstanding spot. Confused by reviews. Few notes:1.) All beers are strong, and all are outstanding. Belgians should be proud. 2.) Food is clearly on up and up. We had fried cheesecurds, and from a fella from Wisconsin, these were A-grade. Hot, fluffy, with good sauce. Wildly impressive. My kid is still talking about them.3.) Overall ambiance is totally intriguing. Next time, I will have some Marzen and use the pool and then play some pool.4.) The Hot Brown Honey survived a road trip north and a crowler of it was totally delicious 2 days later.Can't. Say. Enough.We are grateful for the experience.

It's been awhile, but the food was awful. Wife got sick from her food. Service was not very good.

Stopped on our way from ormond to St Augustine's. Not worth the stop, pulled pork sandwich was small for what you paid for , roll was soggy, Cole slaw had a funky taste,

Does not allow service animals in their facility. As soon as I walked into the patio area, I was met by a bartender who bent over and touched my animal without asking. He proceeded to tell me that I could not have him there, I explained to him that I had papers on my dog with TSA and medical documentation that I would happily show him. He proceeded to ask what the dog does to service me and told me because my dog allowed him to pet him that he was not a service animal. He also stated he didn't care what my documents said . My service animal is not an ESA and is trained for medical alert.

Sat outside on one of the stools in the outside bar area. Nice hang out beach bar, great people watching and easy parking. Had a BBQ sandwich that was good. Service was good with the attentive and friendly barmaid. This is the kind of place where " everyone knows your name ( like Cheers on the beach)" and is definitely a locals hangout. As a bonus they have an onsite brewery and turnout some good local brews!Overall a fun place to hangout.
