J&J Seafood and Chicken

Second time eating there. The first time with tilapia and shrimp was awesome especially with the garlic powder seasoning. This time the flounder and shrimp. It was just as good as the first time so will definitely go back for more of their amazing seafood every time I come through here. Great job

Driving through Palatka this afternoon, we thought whole chicken wings and fries would make a great lunch. We have had some really good success with the food from J&J Chicken and Seafood. The whole wings are usually cooked perfectly and the fries are usually crispy and fresh. We pulled in the drive thru and the server said something we could not understand. We knew what we wanted and kept asking to give our order. Finally, after about five minutes we got a response. My wife gave our order. She had to repeat it, no problem. She accidentally asked for an order of mushrooms along with our chicken wings and fries (she was looking at the menu and saw mushrooms and got distracted, no big deal). She quickly corrected herself and asked for fried okra instead. The server repeated the order and was silent. We pulled up behind a van that had been waiting at the window when we arrived. We had now been there ten minutes. It was another ten minutes, while we watched five or six people drive up to the curb, park, enter the restaurant and come back out a few minutes later with food boxes. The van finally left and we pulled up to the window. We could see the lady putting orders together for customers inside. After another ten minutes she came to the window and we thought we were going to be served! She repeated our order without giving us a chance to ask how much longer we were going to have to wait. She went back to preparing orders for customers inside the restaurant. After another three or four minutes she through open the window and yelled the amount for our order and took off again without allowing us to ask any questions. We waited another five minutes watching as she served people walking in the door and ignoring us. We realized that she didn't even send our order to the kitchen until she verified it at the window. We had been waiting for over a half an hour and been basically ignored by the server. If they were understaffed she should have explained the situation. Instead she came across as rude and indifferent to her customers in the drive thru. We finally had to drive off without lunch but definitely with a bad taste in our mouths!

The atmosphere was great and the lady that took our order was very nice and respectful. The food was soooo good and we would definitely go back and get it again definitely a favorite.

Good price, good food! I always get the shrimp poboy and banana pudding. Never disappoints!
