After seeing all the posts and photos, I had to stop by and try. All the hype was worth it. Located at the corner side of the Regency mall, they have a nice little section. I was excited for oxtails but was informed they typically sell out and I arrived after they already sold out. Customer service was great and not long of a wait for the food. I ordered the surf n turf but substituted oxtails with jerk chicken since they were out. Presentation and flavor was on point.I will be back to go and try more. The menu had plenty more to try and I have to get their oxtails. Definitely recommended.

Saw this place on instagram and decided to take the drive to Regency mall parking lot to try it out. I ordered the oxtail Mac and cheese and some brown stew chicken. The wait wasn't long, which was good because it was super hot outside. The chef was very nice as well. The oxtail Mac and cheese was DELICIOUS!! The only thing I would say is if the oxtail were shredded it would be better because of the bones I had to pick through, but it was still very good nonetheless. The brown stew chicken was very good as well. The only complaint was the cabbage wasn't that good, but everything else was.

My 10 year old sister ordered PLAIN MAC AND CHEESE. She was offered gravy which, she requested ON THE SIDE. This is what she received. It was too spicy for her to even eat. I ordered the flounder fish meal. It was doused in "special sauce" I didn't ask for. The meal includes rice and peas. The wrong peas were used and the rice was putty-like. This is NOT authentic Jamaican food.

I've been wanting to check out Island Spice Grill since seeing it on Big Rich's IG page. It looked so good!I stopped in with a friend before seeing a movie at Regency. I wanted the jerk chicken, but since it was late in the day, they ran out. I ordered the jerk pork served with rice and peas and a small salad. I also ordered two beef patties to take home for later. Plus, fresh mango juice. The pork was delicious! Falling apart and packed with so much flavor. The rice and peas were good as well. The food was hot and fresh, even though they were closing soon. And the mango juice hit the spot on a hot summer day. I was so happy to see shaded picnic tables. And even a nice tree swing painted with colors of the Jamaican flag. I ordered my food from the truck and my drink from the tiki hut. My food was $30, and the drink was $8. A little pricey. I would go back again, but on the weekend and earlier in the day, so I can get there before the chicken sells out;)

This is some of the best flounder I've ever had! The rest was delicious as well. The man who runs the truck is very friendly and patient. They also have a food truck in New York too. The price was a little high for my budget, but you get what you pay for. Yum Yum! I highly recommend this food truck. They're located in the Regency Square Mall parking lot(front)next to Firestone.

This food truck is located at the corner of the Regency Square Mall. Our food came out at a reasonable time for a cooked to order meal. We ordered the fish & shrimp meal which came with rice & peas and cabbage. It was seasoned very well and the proportion sizes were large. The chef that runs the truck was very friendly. We stayed to finish our meal outside and he brought us ice to keep our drinks cool. Will definitely go back again.

Best beef patties I've ever had!!! Rice and beans has an amazing flavor and is always cooked to perfection! Try shrimp flavor is delish just not much gravy/sauce on it. Love the idea of the combo with fried lobster oxtails and jumbo shrimp! Great portions and sizable choices. Entire menu is not always available so expect to have a substitution that's like a lick of the draw. I've never received plantains which is strange despite ordering them 3-4 times I've ordered. Food is nicely prepared just be mindful of their hours. Has all the makings of a phenomenal choice for Jamaican which some minor improvements.

Followed Chef D from New York to Jax because the food is so good. My go-to is the Ox-tails, rice/peas and lobster Mac and cheese. I always tell my wife to order the jerk or curry chicken, just to get a taste of everything. The laid back atmosphere of the Regency Square Mall is a plus. I enjoy sitting on the benches, having our food there while my boys relax on the swing or dance to the reggae playing over the speaker.Lastly, I want to shout out Chef D for always being accommodating and putting everything into his craft. The presentation of the food is impeccable, and when you chop it up with him you will come to learn that he is dedicated to his dishes. Can't wait to wait for the next time I bring my family through!

Unfortunately I put one star because I have to put a star to leave a review. Yes we went a hour before closing on a Friday night HOWEVER! Baby we PAID 40$ for some low grade backyard chicken jerky with a spicy bbq sauce that didn't taste like anything but peppers and vinegar. The flower on top was a nice gesture, however would have been nicer if the food was good. Chicken was drier then dry. I didn't know chicken could get that dry. The cabbage. Ummmm yeah it's a hard HELL NO! Passsssss. (It's like a mixed veg situation going on and clearly the ground mustard all fell in because it was horrible). 'Rice and peas made with coconut milk' is what is advertised, expect it definitely WAS NOT... nothing was what they advertise. Very high price for soggy burnt rice and chicken that was on the grill for about 40 days and 40 nights. This place is not the move. Just take the drive to the westside to Blanding for JamBros, cause this place was not it a must try again or even a place to try. Save your money.

Unfortunately this place can be hit or miss. This is my third time coming. The first time was okay. The second time they had ran out of lot of items and it was bout 45 mins to closing. Third time, today, I got oxtail mac&cheese. After waiting for 20+ mins the mac&cheese was cold in the middle and looked like it was just made. Good flavors, just wouldn't expect cold, quickly put together food after waiting for so long and for.25+ dollars.
