I wanted to update this review since we have now been at Island Entering our 5th year! We are still extremely happy! My daughter loves to cheer at this gym, she loves her Coaches and loves competing. Every year gets better. We have a theme each year which is one of my favorite things here...this year we were The Real Fashionistas of Island Allstars. Bows are made to match the Teams Name....love the uniqueness. The Owner is very transparent and whenever I've had ANY issue big or small he'll schedule to talk to me and any parent for that matter. I honestly can't say enough great things about Island honestly. I'm still so happy to have found this gym (worth our 50 minute drive both ways)! One Gym One Family.

The introduction to the coaches, and how they explain the program seems like something I really wanted to get my daughter into. However, once she started practice, she literally was, for lack of better words. "shoved into a corner" because it seemed a lot of the children getting most of the coaching attention were because the coaches knew the parents on a more personal level, it just seemed like there was favoritism was going on there when I was there..maybe that's not what was going on, but that's how I perceived it. My daughter was literally bored because she didn't do anything her whole time there she would get one turned out whatever exerciser drill they were doing and then she was told to stand to the side. Very disappointing. I went up the street a few days later found iFleming Gymnastics and never went back. Perhaps they've gotten better with the coach to student ratio since.

This place was recommended by a few people I know and my daughter has shown an interest in cheer, so I thought why not. I will say that she is learning new skills and gets better with every practice. However, the communication from the coaches on what she needs to work on or if she is ready to advance to the next level is nonexistent. You will need to make that happen yourself. Also the front desk employees are not really helpful. After asking a few questions I have learned that they don't have the answers to many of them. If I were to provide any feedback it would be to have more individual feedback to the parents (especially new members) and to include your front office staff with more information.

It's pretty clean. The coaches are nice. I don't like that parents can't come in to watch though. Parents have to either sit out in the car or go home. But besides that part I like it.
