Visited Irie Diner on a Friday evening with family. From the entry to exit of this establishment - the service was top tier. We made reservations so were quickly seated although they weren't extremely busy. The aesthetic is not overly done but is well decorated. It definitely gives island vibes. We started with a Barbados sampler which was a great intro to everything we were about to experience. Jerk wings, popcorn shrimp and sweet potato fries complemented each other perfectly.I had a veggie plate with some of the best red beans and rice I've ever had - I would like to preface this with the fact that my family is from Jamaica. Everyone raved about the oxtails and the red snapper seemed to hit a few spots. The curry goat was rated a 10 but more gravy was needed (they quickly brought more). A coconut vanilla cake was ordered for the road and looked scrumptious.Overall we loved the experience and will definitely return. The owner wished us well on our departure which sealed this experience with a kiss.

This was my second trip to Irie Diner with about four years in between. I'm still not sure why I waited so long to go again because this place is still just as good as it was when they first opened. The restaurant itself is kept very tidy, which is immensely appreciated. I think he's changed around the food menu a little since my first trip too, but not much. My friend and I went for dinner and both ended up getting the same thing, the chicken stew. Highly recommended! The chicken was absolutely fall off the bone tender, and the gravy was perfectly seasoned. Along with french fries I ordered sweet plantains, which, by the way, were probably some of the best I have ever had. They were not overly sweet, so you could still taste the plantain. They were perfect in my opinion. They offered us a free sample of the tea that he brews each night. It's a blend of hibiscus tea with herbs like cinnamon and star anise, among many others that he listed off. Again, not overly sweet and it tasted amazing. That was my dessert, and was a pleasant end to dinner. Keep up the great work!

This is my families spot with my mother in law. We love to come here together! Food is always so yummy. Our fav app is the coconut shrimp. The sauce you can dip it in is YUMMY! You can't go wrong with the jerk chicken, jasmine rice & the plantains! It's not very crowded here as well so you can always find a great seat. Service is fast and waitresses are attentive to your needs.

Irie Diner is so good! I have never had a bad experience and the customer service was top tier. The food is so great. And the energy of the place really brought my whole experience to a 10/10. I usually order online but it is just as good as going into the restaurant. Truly 5 stars if you like Carribean food try Irie Diner!

Relaxing and fun! Our monthly Red Hat luncheon was a hit here! Most of the ladies had never eaten at Irie and it was a great experience for them! Several were adventurous and tried different foods. We loved the music--sets the tone. Mr. Jackson, the owner, served us and was very cordial. He patiently explained the ingredients and spices. (He saved me from ordering a dish that had hidden onions!) I heard our ladies saying they would come back on their own! I hope they do.

Walked in to such a pleasant atmosphere and welcoming smiles. The Mango Cart beer is delicious. I ordered the coconut shrimp, conch fritters and chicken and dumpling soup. The conch fritters and pineapple mango chutney is very flavorful. The coconut shrimp were fried to a golden crisp and were wonderful. The chicken and dumpling soup is very flavorful and hearty. I would recommend you check this place out. ( Bonus they have a military discount if your bill is $20 or over)

Irie Diner was delicious!!! The oxtail was so tender, the meat practically fell off the bone. It was so rich with flavor and definitely worth the hype. The roti accompanied the meat well. The jerk chicken was also a good choice, the chicken was seasoned well and cooked very tender. The restaurant was a pretty big size that can fit quite a bit of people. The staff was very friendly as well. I would recommend Irie Diner for sure!
