Hull's Seafood

Great seafood market. We stopped in after several people recommended it. They were very knowledgeable and made some suggestions about fish that we might enjoy. We picked a dozen large scallops to grill outside in a cast iron pan. We were quite happy with both the quality of the seafood as well as the price. The Scollops were great. Huge, in fact. If I remember correctly we ended up with about 8 each, which is going to be a lot more than you would get at a restaurant and our total bill was around $30. When you consider how big these were, hands down this was. a great meal.We plan to come back to their restaurant in the next day or so....Here I am again on my second visit. I dropped by to pick up some large shrimp... I got a pound and a quarter. Again, if my memory is correct they were about $22.I walked to the restaurant part of the business and had them boiled with Bay Seasoning for $3. That took maybe 10 minutes. They gave me shrimp cocktail sauce and some sliced lemons...While we are discussing boiled shrimp... a while ago I was told that if you get boiled or steamed shrimp to go, you should open the container and let them cool a bit as you take them with you. Otherwise they will continue to cook. If you have a large serving, they will overcook as you drive home.Regardless, the shrimp were excellent. We had a great meal.Definitely, Hulls is on our list. If you want good seafood, try it.

Food is always very fresh and flavorful! Service is attentive and prompt Ambiance is casual and comfortable

My small salad was served as a side salad and instead of balsamic vinaigrette, they gave me soy sauce, to which I poured all over my tiny salad before tasting. Additionally, we ordered the Mahi sandwich - my husband said it was great but my piece of it was dry and over cooked. The waitress noticed my salad was not the correct size and my husband told her about the soy sauce. Thanks to our waitress, she really made this a great lunch for us but I'm sorely disappointed in the kitchen. Would I come back? Probably not. But if I did, it would be for the wonderful service we received from our waitress.

Absolutely sweet place. Friendly staff and super soups!!! Found by accident. Will come back again!!!

We had a great dinner at Hull's tonight! It was our first time in and we will be back. The decor is casual and the server was upbeat and friendly even though they were busy. I had the Captain's Combo with Crab Cakes and Grouper along with Collard Greens and Black Beans. It was hot and flavorful. My husband had the Flounder with Collard Greens and Zucchini. The hush puppies are hot and crunchy with a subtly sweet flavor.

Amazing everything! Awesome staff, great food, fast service and all around best seafood. Thanks for always providing the best experience every time I visit! I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in the area!

Hull's Seafood is great. There is complimentary valet parking, which is convenient. We did not have to wait long for a table. This place is massive. I recommend the steamed clams as an appetizer. I had the sheepshead fish entree, which came with fish chowder, sautéed carrots, and hushpuppies. I was very impressed with the hospitality and overall experience.

While this is a typical tourist spot, it still holds up. We visited three times during our trip to Ormond this year.They offer a wide variety of seafood on their menu. I would recommend the peel and eat steamed shrimp southern style. Make sure to get some hushpuppies, they are slightly sweet with a cornmeal base. Also if you have a sweet tooth, try the blue berry hushpuppies for dessert.The wait can be an hour plus so plan ahead! If you can select a seat, I would sit in the front room; it's much quieter. But the bar is also a great spot if you can find a couple empty stools.

The food was fresh, and the hushpuppies were amazing. The service was excellent. When we are in the area we make a trip on 2 to Hulls Seafood never been disappointed.

A seafood "go to" in Ormond Beach. It hard to find a bad restaurant around here. So competition is pretty tough. If we want a consistently fresh seafood dinner Hull's is it.We usually have the Chesapeake Bay Oysters. Tried the Pemaquid: life changing. Never eaten a raw oyster without a cracker. A cracker overpowers the Pemaquid's delicate and mild flavor. Our server, Ashley was friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly. Hulls is nothing fancy. It's a seafood market that serves what it sells: fresh, quality seafood.
