Definitely basic play things option (2 swing sets and a little jungle gym thingy). But what makes this place special is the fishing! This place is stocked with Fish options for kids of all ages to learn fishing basics. There are so many turtle and various types of birds that swoop in and out of the area. No covered areas exist, but there are a few free standing tables. There's also a tennis court area if fishing isn't your thing.Be sure to follow the fishing rules.

Amazing low key water spot about a 20 minute drive from downtown. Surrounded by the St. Johns River and Atlantic Ocean. Drive on beach. Big Inlet perfect for paddle boarding. Grills and picnic table available for use. Can rent out a pavilion as well. Police noted patrolling the beach- pulled cars over for speeding. Lifeguard on inlet side, not sure about beach side

Huguenot Park is your typical neighborhood play ground. The equipment isn't fancy, just your basic slides, swings etc but I find it charming. It's situated behind a lake so you're bound to see plenty of ducks & geese. It's just a few blocks from our home so I like to walk our boys over every now and again to play and feed the birds. It's never crowded and most of the time you'll have the entire park to yourself with the exception of Summer time.

I love Huguenot park. If you pass the entrance off hecksher there's a boat ramp that off to your right that goes under hecksher. If you have a canoe or kayak you can paddle over to Huguenot for free. Be careful cause the current can suck you out into the ocean. There's so many sand bars out there you can hang out on and relax. I found my first sand dollar out there.

Huguenot Park is not to be mistaken with Huguenot Memorial Park on Heckscher Drive that is part of the waterway system that folks can drive on and camp at.This Huguenot Park is the park I grew up at in South Jax. Beach. Learned how to play tennis at the tennis center and had my mom tear off some wax paper so I could go down the old aluminum slide faster. Traffic on 3rd Street used to have to stop daily for the Mother Duck of the season and her ducklings to cross over to the Old Publix Grocery Store parking lot across the street. These days the park now boasts a three acre lake with stocked fish. and a fishing pier & boardwalk. The Huguenot Tennis Facility is a well loved part of the park and has grown into a wonderful addition to the beaches tennis community since they opened the first two courts over 30 years ago.The Basketball courts and Playground are equally as nice. The playground has a choice of equipment for all ages and seems to be in good repair. A good choice for a park outing!

It's an awesome place to take the kids to play on a playground and to go fishing off the dock. I was just there a week a ago and caught multiple 3-4 pound bass. I will definitely be coming back.

Nice park with a clean playground for the kids. It also has a nice small boardwalk with closely mounted boards. Safer for the little ones, don't have to worry as much. This is not a good fishing pond though. Zero, nada. Would not fish here again. I tried buzz baits, rooster tails and live worms.

Good gathering spot and beach front park. Not much to it,..but still nice,..not to be confused with the REAL Huguenot Park, north of Mayport! This is a smaller beach front park, perhaps 500 sq yards! South of Bech Blvd on 1st!
