This park was beautiful. It had areas for fishing and enjoying the beach. You can park on a small section of the beach. There is also an area you can only get to by car if you have a 4x4 vehicle. They are actively watching for vehicles (and people) breaking this rule and disturbing the habitats they're trying to restore and preserve. The park has fairly calm waters. I went because someone suggested it as a great place to paddle board or kayak. It was perfect for these types of activities. Definitely make sure you check the tides and winds. We went out before low tide and there were very shallow areas. The fish were jumping all around us as we paddled the inlet. There were so many birds. The park has camping spots that back right to the beach and on the river side. This would be a great place to pull up a camper and enjoy the scenery. It was gorgeous and I highly recommend this park.

This was such an amazing beach! A most see park, my suggestion if to be there really early, because the line to enter can get ridiculously long real quick. We got to the park around 9 am on a Sunday morning. There were only two cars in line. We were able to secure a really good spot on the beach for our two cars, our tent, and our grill. In this beach park you can go to the main huge beach, or go to the more mellow beach to the side, and also you can set up your camp site if you reserved the spot.We had a really great time, the weather was perfect, the water was a bit on the cold site, but that was to be expected. Not summer yet! They have a couple of portable bathrooms within 2 minutes walk from the entrance to the beach. The beach and places around are well taken cared of. You have to pay to get in, and if you are a Military Veteran, then you only pay have the price. Entrance is not very expensive (I can not remember exactly how was it was.)Also, the have food carts that come by and park by the cars for the day, so you can buy different foods here. Beautiful beach!

Super fun for day use but overnight there's very limited amenities and shade. Highlights include great waves, being able to drive on the beach, and the little flat water cove!

Definitely was a little vibe. Had a lot of birds out there and let's just say they are a savage! Basically bring your own everything for a nice beach day. It's connected to the actual beach. I would say this is definitely a great little/cheap date spot if the weather is just right. They do have grills you just have to share them with the parties that actually payed for a pavilion. You do have the option to pay for the pavilions for parties/events. From my experience everyone was nice. They do have a no pet policy. It's definitely a lot of police/safety patrol officers but they aren't really messing with anyone unless you are literally doing something out of the way. They do have a nice view you can see some of the cruise ships going by, water sports etc.

This beach has 1 thing going for it and 1 thing going against it. The good part is you can drive on it, but the bad part is you can drive on it. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to park on the beach, however it created for a dangerous environment when children dart out in front of moving traffic; with 4 kids with us that created for a non-relaxing day due to worrying about them. Other than that it is a pretty nice beach to sun on, wade in the waves, ride a seadoo, or kayak. There is a bit of an undertow, so be careful when wading out and swimming. There is a jetty that opens to a channel for shipping activity. So it was cool watching the ships go out. We didn't explore the rest of the park, but understand there are trails and a nature center. They also have hookups for RVs as well as tent sites for camping.

The staff that works here are all amazing! I have never met such a hard working group of people who care about the park so much. They are kind and do their best to keep the park safe and clean for visitors. The views are outstanding! It is a great place to fish, surf, swim (but be safe), camp, grill, canoeing, and so much more. Don't bring pets or alcohol though.

Great place but you need to be careful. I'm not trying to scare everybody, but I saw a rattler snake today and it was big actually yesterday. You need to be very cautious. I don't know if it all it was a western rattler, but it looked almost like it, and it was big,and it wasn't going anywhere I've posted pictures on another website so you can least see what this snake look like be very cautious with your kids and your dogs but enjoy the beach

Beware of JELLYFISH!!!! This was my favorite park for many years. I love all beaches anyway. Things changed this weekend! My 12 years old stung by JELLYFISH and It seemed like a shark attack from far first. He was almost drowning and screaming like crazy with pain.... I lost my mind seeing him like that. Luckily I was closer to him and I was able to push him to shore. He was shaking with pain and could not breathe. We took him to doctor by the restroom and they put Benadryl on his arm and leg. We left the beach and had him take a very hot shower then applied calamine lotion. We got him benadryl syrup and it helped. All his veins were popping out and it got swollen, almost looked like a dinosaur skin. It all turned purple this morning. Be aware of jellyfish and sharks. Never leave each other alone, swim together
