Huey Magoo's - St. Augustine

I've driven by this place a few times and have always been in a rush and never stopped. This week I had time and was hungry. I went to the drive thru, it was busy but the wait time was not lengthy. I ordered the combo with chicken strips, fries, toast and a drink. The price was reasonable for the amount of food. Prior to trying Huey Magoo's I didn't know what to expect. It's comparable to Raising Cane's, although Cane's is a little better maybe it's the canes sauce but Huey's sauce is very close.

The first time I went there the girl helped me decide as I had no idea, it was Monday, and there was a special. It was very good, the chicken was delicious, fries were good too. The 2nd time I had a salad, loved it!

First timers- I had a Magoo's salad fried comes with walnuts cranberry and grape tomatoes and wife had 5 piece fried meal with fries toast coleslaw. They use chicken tenders - great taste. Very friendly helpful staff. Food was good although the fries could have been hotter. Chicken was tender and tasty. Total meal cost $26.79.

Garlic Parmesan and Buffalo. Very yummy chicken, good and crunchy. Friendly staff and quick with food. With 2 kiddos we'll definitely be back.

I was dragged to this spot by my husband. He was raving about this hot new place in St. Augustine Florida. We pulled in and the lot is so clean and pristine. I mean immaculately spotless. Walking in we were greeted by a few good crew members. Looking at the menu, it is chicken everything. Mostly wraps and tenders served with crinkle fries. I ordered the garlic Parmesan wrap. No fries with a .99 sweet tea.Hubby ordered the grilled chicken wrap combo which only includes the crinkle fries. He also ordered a .99 lemonade. We had the opportunity to sit and chat with one other older couple in the dining room. The front counter cashier brought our order out to the table. The wraps were extremely hot. Well put together. But for me, it was too spicy. I immediately noticed the taste difference. Maybe I'm getting older, to say the least I only took two bites and I was done. I literally had to stop at the Racetrac gas station to buy tums because I had terrible heartburn. My husband throughly enjoyed his lunch. My brother in law had no issues finishing my food. Great location, Really Friendly Staff and Food was prepared as ordered.

My first impression was great customer service! We were greeted when we walked in and made sure we were comfortable ordering. We were handed a menu as it was easier than reading the board. The girls at the cash register were very sweet. Have patience... they are young and learning. We placed a to go order. It took quite a bit of time to get it. This would have deterred me from giving 5 stars, but the managers were aware and not only checked on our order, but gave us some coupons for some free meals next time we come in. It's not the free food that caused my 5 star rating, but rather the action of the manager making us as the customers feel important. The food was delicious. The fries have a tasty seasoning on them. I got the Buffalo sandwich. The sauce was spicy, but not over powering. The Magoo sauce is great to dip your fries in. My husband commented that the menu is simple enough that it's not overwhelming to look At, but enough variety to please a multitude of appetites.

If I could give a lower rating, I would. Service in drive-they was so rude, I drove away. when I called to speak with a manager, she answered and informed me the manager wasn't there and I could call back tomorrow. Zaby's is within a few miles in either direction and their employees are not horrible. That was my first and LAST visit.

My 3yo son and I had a really nice meal. I had a delicious fresh salad and he had a chicken tender basket. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Did a drive thru order and it was a very good experience. A little slow but food tasted very fresh. Next time will order the fries without seasoning. They tasted a little over salty. Overall definitely will be back.

This is my favorite place in the whole entire world, if you haven't tried you need to go asap!!! Best tenders best service
