Down and Dirty: great location, great host, fun happy hour in the pub, comfortable surroundings, bedroom was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you would need. pool area and Jacuzzi was spacious and private. Highly recommend if you're in the area and would definitely come back. Booking:Easy online booking. Had every room listed separately with their own photos, pricing and availability. Made is easy to pick the room you wanted. Only other thing that would have been good was to add maybe a blue print of the home with each room marked on it so you had a better visual to where your room was in regards to the main roads. Service:Pre-communication was great! Jamie contacted us via text to confirm the time of arrival and any food or allergy restrictions along with preferred breakfast time. Upon arriving, Todd greeted us and gave us the grand tour and answered any questions that we had. Happy hour was from 4 to 5 each day and we arrived right at four, so it was perfect timing to check in, drop off our things, and grab a free cocktail! Breakfast each morning was right on time and delicious. Recommendations for food and other surrounding activities was provided.Room:The bed and bedding was comfortable and all toiletries were provided. Size of the room was perfect. Our room overlooked the corner of the main street so traffic made it a little noisy so I would probably stay in a different room. Next time I come. However, earplugs were provided on your bedside table upon checking in. The only thing that could have made the room better is brighter lighting or some type of vanity for applying make up and doing your hair. The lighting in the bathroom was OK but not as well lit as you would need when getting ready for the day.Location:The location was ideal! We parked our car upon check-in, and did not get back in it until we left to go home. We walked everywhere. We couldn't have found a better location that was far enough from the busy part of Amelia Island, but close enough for everything to be in walking distance.

Very nice bed and breakfast with an excellent location that makes it very convenient to just walk into the middle of town. Also, one of the best restaurants in Fernandina Beach, David's , is just across the street from the inn. Happy hour in the afternoon with free glass of wine and bar treats (mixed nuts). Fresh cookies every day and a supply of Oreos also. Warm breakfast, of course, in a lovely dining room. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms well stocked with essentials. Recommended!

Hoyt House is one of the absolute best places to stay in Fernandina. I have stayed all over town and I would absolutely recommend this place over anyone else. The staff is absolutely lovely! Jaime got us checked in and she was above and beyond wonderful. Informative, kind, professional, you name it. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast service was excellent. All in all, a perfect stay and I will absolutely be coming back.

Anniversary weekend spent at the Hoyt house. We stayed in the Willis room, which was very roomy and faced the back and street side of the house. Ear plugs provided, but we didn't find them necessary. Great ceiling fan and room had its own temperature control. Each side of the bed had its own USB port which was very nice.Checkin was very easy, Jamie is so very nice, giving us an in depth tour of the home and explaining a lot of the history. Breakfast was delicious, fast, and fun. Todd really is a good cook and makes everyone feel like they are home. Coffee, juice, water is all available.Social hour everyday from 4-5pm...again, made to feel like we were at home sharing stories with friends.Spent time at the pool and hot tub too. It's March, so the pool is pretty cold, but the ocean was colder haha! The hot tub is almost too hot, but it is a HOT tub lol. Bikes, beach umbrellas, and beach chairs available to use, along with beach and pool towels.Very centrally located, we walked everywhere except the beach. So many amazing restaurants and bars within just a few blocks!Overall highly recommend and can't wait to go back

Celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary at lovely Amelia island and stayed comfortably at The Hoyt house. Hosts Ricky and Tracy took wonderful care of us. Bed and pillows were perfect, alL our needs were met. The home is full of history and eclectic trinkets. We used the beach chairs and bikes daily. Rode to the harbor to watch the sunset and cruised around the island dining at Cafe Karibo and listing to live music at Joes. I especially loved Jackson the bunny rabbit. We will return! Peace and Love

What a quaint, cozy, perfectly located, B&B! Jamie and Todd were so welcoming and made us feel at home before we even arrived! Todd even gave us his cinnamon roll French toast recipe (to die for!) and changed our flat tire without hesitating. The pool and hot tub is where we spent most of our time (soooo relaxing!) and I definitely would give them 100 stars if I could! Thank you for the southern hospitality, Jamie & Todd! Can't wait to come back so soon!

Really lovely B and B. Location is super convenient, you can walk to local restaurants, shops etc. Very comfortable, loved the pub open 4-5pm daily serving complementary wine. Delicious and varied breakfasts. The hosts were very welcoming and pleasant. Happy to recommend and will definitely return.

My SO and I came to Amelia Island for a wedding and the Ritz was sold out. The Hoyt House was a hit that seemed really interesting on the internet. I looked further, and for a really reasonable rate (~$250), we got a charming bedroom complete with an ensuite bathroom. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to stay close to downtown Fernandina.

A MUST STAY! We are having the absolute best time - it's so beautiful and full of history. The most peaceful place while still being walking distance from all the fun! Side note - the owners are so kind. We had a flat tire and Mr. Todd changed it for us, no questions asked. We will be back!

We took a weekend for an anniversary getaway and were so completely happy with our first Bed & Breakfast experience!! Todd and Jamie were just the nicest people and so down to earth. I especially enjoyed the nightly happy hour, talking with other guests and sharing our days' events... The location of the Inn is so perfect - walking distance from most of the shops and restaurants - as well as from the marina and beach. There are also bikes at the Inn that can be used (although we chose to walk). Our room was the Prince Charles (queen room) and was very comfortable! Everything was immaculate and the bathroom had great water pressure for being a historic house. The room was spacious and the provided amenities were a great extra touch; robes, terry wraps, toiletries, etc... The room was very quiet, even with the Inn at full capacity - and we got wonderful sleep. Breakfast was excellent, with several sittings to choose from. Food was fresh and prepared and served with TLC. We really enjoyed the personal nature that you can only get at a bed & breakfast! We plan to return as soon as we can - and can absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking to experience the quaintness of Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island.
