A friend of mine has been telling me I needed to try out Hot Wok and how bomb it was etc etc because I have been struggling to find good chinese place...so I went to go see if it was as good as he claimed, and guess what... it is!!! Now I'm going to be honest the location is not the fanciest but sometimes these types of places be having the BEST FOOD!!! The service was good as far as being greeted with a smile hello, how are you today! They have all the usual favorites that's most Chinese restaurants have. I went with the chicken teriyaki on a stick and the shrimp with the broccoli combo which comes with steamed or fried rice and an egg roll. Everything was sooooo dangon good!! It was perfectly seasoned wasn't salty at all, BUT THAT EGG ROLL!!! Let me teeeeelllll youuuu!! That egg roll was bomb I could have 100 of those and would have a been in egg roll heaven lol!! This place is def a must try and I will be going back to try a few of my other favorites!

Right off the bat this place is not as sketchy as the other reviews made it seem. However, lets be real, its Emerson - your expectations shouldn't be that high to begin with. The food itself was okay. We enjoyed the eggrolls and the main chicken dishes. This visits order consisted of general tso and sweet & sour chicken. I was unhappy with the upcharge for my chow mein. They seemed like spaghetti noodles soaked in soy sauce. For a more "authentic" Chinese restaurant I was disappointed that panda express has better chow mein.TL;DR order just main dish, make your own sides.

Ok, like other reviewed stated there is much to be said for the location... I was very hesitant to come here, even after I affixed I waited in my car for a few minutes as a second guessed my decision. I finally went inside and order a lunch chicken and broccoli. I had a question about the sauce and the two young ladies at the register were so nice, friendly and helpful. Those two ladies receive 5 stars.On to the food well it was blah. The rice was ok but the chicken and broccoli lacked flavor on my usual 1-10 scale this order receives a 4. I just feel that I shouldn't have to add soy sauce to my dish in order for it to have some flavor. The food was very fresh though and the broccoli was cooked perfectly..

Good Chinese fast food place. I come here for lunch about three times a month. I've had their chicken with broccoli, pork with mixed veggies, and general tso's chicken. They all taste great! My choice of soup is their wonton soup. When ordering, you can request how spicy you want your food. Their lunch special is under $5 and can add a can of soda for just .50 cents. Good deal!

Hot Wok is my go to place, when I have no urge to cook and I want Americanized Chinese food. I'm fortunate enough to live within their delivery area, so I don't even have to leave the house. However be prepared to have to wait at least an hour to get your food, and on a busy night it could be longer. But they do tell you the wait time, and for the most part it is pretty accurate.What I love about this place, they have a large selection of Vegetarian and Vegan dishes. I also don't think they use MSG, because I never feel dried out, dehydrated or bloated after eating there. I like that the portion sizes are pretty generous, so you do get what you pay for. And the food actually tastes decent. I would never say I crave them, but the flavor points are good.

It is what it is. There's a place around the corner that much worse. Healthy portions. I had the House Lo Mein w no Shrimp*** Hot & Sour Soup **** Crab Rangoon *** The main issue was a miscommunication on the order taker's end and the $$$. Given the limited options in this area, I would order again.
