Hot Dog Party

I really like sausages & hot dogs (go ahead and judge), and the thought of a vegan hot dog was something akin to hearing someone say "I'm from the government and I'm here to help". Needless to say, skepticism ruled the day.Then our CM Matt posted some very intriguing pics (oh the Power of Yelp) - I was tempted! Finding myself in 5 Points, after hours, and a little hungryish, I came across the HD Party Cart. The smiles & smells that surrounded the cart drew me closer - the description of El Guapo sold me! Topped with chili, vegan cheese and Fritos - each bite was delicious and satisfying. I missed the snap of a traditional dog, but the flavors more than made up for it! They're usually in front of Root Down on weekend nights - just look for the crowds :)

I gotta say, Hot Dog Party boasts the finest vegan hot dog I've ever had. Now, it might be the only vegan hot dog I've consumed in my short 26 years, BUT, I truly love these dogs!That's right, these hot dogs are 100% vegan. Which means vegan cheese, vegan chili, etc. In my unprofessional opinion, nothing can triumph over pig. I'm a pork-butt eating fool. However, I don't believe Hot Dog Party is comparing themselves to a classic frankfurter. They're rocking their own unique style, and I applaud them for it!El Guapo - Chili, vegan cheddar, relish, fritos - aka delicious! I normally top it off with some type of mustard and it just works. I downed two of these bad boys last weekend and it cured my unadulterated hanger. Where to find this hot dog cart? Stalk their Instagram page. I couldn't even find them on Facebook. They normally camp out in Five Points on the weekends. These dogs are perfect for those late nights. Hot Diggity!

Yall Listen..i have heard all the raves, I even had a bite of Johns weiner..but nothing really prepared me for my first actual visit. I had strolled out of Sun Ray Cinema and spotted them..verified how long they would be around and went about my drinking business. Fast forward a couple hours and I was ready to go all in on a dawg to take in the uber. I went with the El Guapo..its packed with toppings to include fritos! I added some mustard, and it was so amazing. My favorite bearded fellow went with a basic chili chese variety and I didnt mention to him before he ate that they were vegan. The texture of the actual dog is a little different from your typical all meat variety but not anything you would really notice that much. The flavors of all the vegan items came together in a delicious way. Keep your eyes peeled for this food truck in 5 points and you will not be disappointed!

I'm on the lookout for this hot dog cart whenever I'm at 5 Points! The El Guapo has stole my tastebud's heart! It's so good and it's vegan! Loaded with a solid good tasting vegan dog and slathered with vegan chili and cheese with a Frito Corn Chips on top , I know it sounds like a mess but it's darn delicious! I have to admit this was my first vegan hot dog. The people working the cart was friendly and quick while preparing the hotdogs. You can also get a bag of potato chips and soda with it. They have other options for hot dogs available for purchase. Give Hot Dog Party a chance !

I DON'T do vegan but I do when it comes to this truck! Very light and very tasty. We found this little gem outside of the Sunray Cinema in 5 Points. At the recommendation of Matthew ( whom we ran into) I got the chili dog topped with Fritos... Yo it was awesome. Whenever we go to Root Down on a Saturday night I pray that this truck is there to help soak up the alcohol and because it's a tasty and light meal to have late at night.

Had fast service and a very clear menu. Definitely exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to have it again!!

Amazing! Found him at the Riverside Arts Market for lunch. Really friendly guy and happy to inform us of where he gets his product. I'm a person that doesn't really like hotdogs, but I look for this cart all the time now. I never find him at the market anymore, but definitely worth the visit if you come across at night near Five Points.

Super yummy vegan hotdogs. This vegan hot dog cart is a dream come true. I just wish there were available 7 days a week, 24/7. For $5, the El Guapo is guaranteed to satisfy the most picky taste buds! If you want a loaded hot dog, get the showboat. For $1 more you can have all the toppings your mouth can handle

They made me shove a hotdog down my throat and my wife ordered the same thing as me and made her shove it up her a** she really enjoyed it tho so this is 5 stars i kinda liked it to tho;)

Where is my king during this quarantine????? This hot dog cart is changing the world. TELL ME who notices they aren't consuming animal products when they're hammered?? The answer is no one and they never have. I think about hot dog party, reference them at every game, and give them as much money as I can collectively get in my group every single night I go out in this city.
