Hot Diggity Dawgs and More

Had the opportunity to try them when they catered our lunch. The poor guy I think got a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people that showed up, and they were out of some stuff that I wanted to try. A few people complained that the guy had an attitude, but I personally that he was going for more of a cheeky tough guy playful banter. Overall the food was good, but the general complaint around the office was that the buns tasted a bit stale and people ended up spending more than they expected for a hot dog. I do think the buns could have used a bit of time on the grill or something, they did taste weird, and I agree you do end up paying a premium due to the cost of transportation, overheads, etc. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I probably would personally skip them if they came back.

Best Italian sausage ever. Wish they had a permanent location. I had a mild Italian sausage with some kind of pickle relish. To die for!

Just wow. Wow!! The best cheesesteak I have had outside of philly!! If I ever see his truck and trailer I will go out of my way and I will stop!! Toby (the purveyor) will go out of his way and make sure his food is fantastic!! He does private gigs but he also sets up here and there and that is when I get lucky to find him.

When you need your hot dawg fix, there is no other place better than Hot Diggity Dawgs. Nothing else in Jax compares. Trust me, they are the best! Love talking to Toby, the proprietor. A true Bostonian in the heart of Jax.

Nice Nathan's Famous grilled dogs, though they may be richer than my ideal. Ordinary, weak, buns. I liked my favorite preparation, the Coney Island (their no-bean chili with chopped onions and yellow mustard) more than the plain (with mustard) dog. Based on the other reviews here, I should try their cheese steak next time.

Toby makes a mean dawg! Don't go there for just the dawgs, though! He has a pretty extensive menu that can please a wide variety tastes. Hot Diggity Dawgs use to set up in our parking area at SouthPointe. For a 1 month period, I think a majority of us ate there about 20 times each. That pretty much sums things up. The food is great. The cheesesteaks are so juicy and the dogs are perfection. Would have loved to give a 5 star review but the person running the tent seemed a bit disgruntled. Regardless he wasn't rude at all and the food was great, so a pretty good experience all things considered!

Very disappointed in food and service. Prior to the food truck's visit to our private neighborhood, my family went on the website to pick out what they wanted. Got to the truck...no Philly cheese steak sandwiches and no boiled peanuts listed on the sign. Can you not update your website to match what you're selling? Geez. Also completely inappropriate conversation by the owner who was reading news articles on politics out loud. Read the room.
