Went as a couple on Valentine's Day for dinner and we had an excellent table near the expo line. We got to see everything being done. It made for excellent dinner conversations not to mention a lot of action. Our waitress was great and the food was simply delicious and wildly constructed. This dinner left us saying, "More please!!"

The Harvest and Reel is located inside the beautiful Embassy Suites resort. This beachfront property doesn't currently have beach access so keep that in mind. We stayed at the resort and ate here twice during our stay. As we often do, we decided to share a few things because this was our first time here. We started with the crab bisque. It definitely needed some seasoning. We order the pork chop. We asked for medium. It was more medium well but still juicy so we ate it. The potatoes were tasty. The couscous is so lacking in any seasoning I just couldn't eat it. I tried lemon, salt, and pepper. It just couldn't be helped. We were offered a free dessert because they saw we didn't eat it. We got the side. Do not get the entree of it! The chocolate brownie (best way I can describe it), was good but very rich. Later in the stay, I ordered the Caesar salad with halibut. I would skip that as well. It ended up being $27 for a very mediocre salad. It comes in large pieces and the halibut was very small and overcooked. Our server was friendly and accommodating. He was attentive and made every attempt to keep us happy. The bartenders were also friendly but complained about their jobs quite a bit. Overall, the resort is lovely but the restaurant needs some work. I would not have gone back had we not been staying there.

The restaurant is located inside the Embassy Suites Hotel on St. Augustine Beach, a beautiful setting and location. The service was outstanding from our server Annalise. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was delicious and very big. I had the scallops entree, which was also very good and a large portion. My husband had the filet, which he gave a 5 star rating. This was our first visit to the hotel and the restaurant, but we will definitely be back.

The place is convenient; that's for sure but for ambience and food selection leaves something to be desired. We mainly went here because we didn't have a lot of time; but it was okay. Nothing special and a lot of people just dragging in from the pool. I think it sells or markets itself as being somewhat upscale; but it's not. It's a standard hotel restaurant, so as long as you are okay with that you will be fine.

I had eaten at Harvest & Reel a few years ago, when it opened, and had an amazing time. Since we were staying at the Embassy Suites Resort St. Augustine Beach , I figured it would be a fabulous time to try it again. Located in the lobby of the hotel, Harvest & Reel is a gorgeous dining space. It's dark, and cozy, with an open kitchen and a "Farm Fresh and Shore To Table" concept. Yum.We had a party of eight, and were celebrating my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's anniversary too. Our server was Harrison, and he was a dream. He had great knowledge of the menu, made excellent suggestions, was super attentive to our table, and was just a general superstar. Thanks to him.We started with wine and appetizers. We sent an order of the calamari and the charcuterie board down to the "kids'" end of the table, while the "adults" had another plate of calamari and the crispy Brussels sprouts. I'm not a huge calamari fan, but these are fried in the lightest batter, and served with a flavorful green goddess drizzle and hot peppers, so it hits just right. The crispy Brussels sprouts were so good that my husband ordered them as a side with his dinner. I shamelessly snagged some of those, too. Oops. I wasn't super hungry after apps, so I went with the Corn Risotto (as did my brother-in-law, who is a vegetarian). My nephew ordered the Delmonico ribeye, one niece had the Cheeseburger with potato wedges (it came with two patties), and everyone else had the filet mignon, with assorted sides. I am pretty sure we all joined the Clean Plate Club that night. I wish I had more photos of the entrees, because they were beautiful, but.... I got involved in conversation, and you know how it goes.Harrison brought out a slice of salted caramel cheesecake to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, compliments of the restaurant, which was a lovely and sweet touch. Harvest & Reel is a wonderful restaurant, perfect for intimate dinners and special occasions. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Fantastic restaurant in the Embassy Suites! We got in at around 8PM on Sunday and was thankful that this place stays open til 10PM which means dinner is only an elevator ride away.We were immediately seated. I requested a booth so we could have more room and be isolated from the other guests. They do practice social distancing, staff wore masks and they sanitized each table well. I ordered a glass of cabernet and my husband had some unsweetened tea. He wasn't super hungry so we did not order an appetizer to share. Instead, I started with some leek soup. I thought it would come in a small bowl but was pleasantly surprised when a huge, steaming bowl of soup came to the table. It was delicious. You can definitely taste the leek. There were some little chunks of potatoes as well and a bit of crispy onions on top.For my main course, I ordered the fresh catch which was mahi simply but deliciously seasoned with some salt and fresh ground pepper served with some haricot verts. Wow! It was so tasty and amazing! My husband had the scallops and he enjoyed his meal as well.We did not order dessert because we were both full and tired and just wanted to get up to our room and pass out but I would love to dine here again before our trip is over so hopefully I get to!

It's hotel food! Really not interesting and for sure everything seemed like it had been frozen. The only good thing was the Caesar salad, it was real salad cut in halves. Our bread basket had stale bread.I would suggest you walk down the street.
