Hana Sushi

Review is for pickup only. Our order was ready on time. Pleasantly greeted. Space is small and needs updating. The sushi was very good but for size of portions, not a great value.

Down and DirtyNicely decorated and scenic atmosphere. Quick service. Delicious food. Price is a little in the higher side for the portions. ServiceSat immediately. Took a minute to get drink orders but turnaround was quick once we got the order in. Food ordering was more timely and, again, quick turnaround. Check out was quick. Only thing missing was personal and welcoming touch. It was a very transactional experience. FoodI got the spicy tuna poke bowl. Very good but small portion and was still hungry. My friend got the lobster roll and it was also delicious and standard single roll portion. Wasn't asked about desert or if we wanted anything else so we just checked out and leftI would go again because the food was good and service was quick. Wish they were more friendly and helpful.

Came in shortly before they were closing from lunch, and we were welcomed in and provided great, efficient service. My wife had tuna tataki, and I had two rolls. We both had ginger salads and miso soup. Everything was perfect. We are new to the area, but I think we found our new sushi spot. We will definitely be back.

Service was good and waitress is always friendly. The ambiance is usually nice and quieter. A smaller restaurant with yummy poke bowls and sushi rolls.

A first time visit here that was suggested by a co-worker. Plenty of parking outside. As you approach super dark windows but as you enter the interior its super clean and pleasantly decorated inside. A lot of different choices on the menu. The General Tso's Chicken grabbed my attention since it's a Chinese dish. Came with Vegetables and white rice but I substituted for Fried rice. I was looking at other entrees as they were brought out to other customers and noticed the portion sizes were a lot less than what I typically see at a Japanese Restaurant. Anticipating a small meal I ordered a side of Lo Mein. The General Tso's chicken chunks came out like chicken strips and were fried in a tempura batter. It was good and spicy. However the batter got soggy in its sauce. And the fried rice was not hot. Overall it was a good meal but I've had better.

It was my first time here. I ordered the Black Dragon roll ($14.95) which is fried tempura, avocado with eel on top; California roll ($5.95) and spicy crab roll ($5.95). Everything tasted really good. I took off a star because the portion was so tiny! Especially for the Dragon roll. I felt it should have been a least 4 more pieces. I've been to a lot of sushi places across the US and this place is expensive considering how little food they give you. So because of that, will probably go to Fancy Sushi across the street instead.

I get the Snowman at least once a week. It has mango, shrimp tempura, avocado with spicy mayo, crab meat and panko on top. It's so good!

I feel like Akari gets all the attention around here but that Hana deserves some serious kudos. It may not be in a hip part of town near the Marina but it actually has a lot over Akari. For one, the service. Having good sushi does not preclude you from being polite and friendly. I get that Akari is very busy but you can be busy and still friendly. Hana employees greeted me with a big smile and a warm "hi!" They also seemed genuinely concerned for me throughout the meal. This goes a looooong way with guests. If a place is friendly but the sushi is no good, then they won't last long. But Hana has it going on in both fronts - great service and great sushi! Everything I had was fresh and left me wanting more (at the end of my meal, i actually did order a Spicy Tuna roll to go - it did not disappoint). I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (everything from the fresh Uni to the Yellowtail to the shrimp curry vermicelli) and I will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you, Hana!! :)

The best sushi on the island. Hands down! Service and chefs are wonderful as well. Highly recommended.

The sushi was very tasty. The appetizers were ok. Would not recommend the crab rangoon as it didn't contain any crab at all.
