Happy to have this location closest to home. This is an express version of the location on University, but they have all of staples and a lot of hard to find items. There's a few asiles of all kinds of goods. They have a seating area for those who eat inside and it doesn't feel crowded. We ordered a lamb Shawarma wrap, hummus and pita, and cheese bread. As normal, it was all delicious. My husband loves their toum, the white garlic spread. The food reminds him of the times he lived in the Middle East. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Do I recommend, Yes!! This is a brand new middle eastern market/ grocery store with my favorite part they have a cold bar where you can scoop your own yummies, like hummus, tabouli, grape leaves, ect! They have fresh pita, spinach, cheese, meat pies, pita chips, desserts lots of good stuff in here! I grabbed a few things from the store then went straight for the cold bar, got a few things and ohhhh my gosh the tabouli stood out as my favorite, it was so fresh and bright, I had gotten some pita chips then a dip in hummus and scoop of tabouli, it was a delicious lil middle eastern nachos! Lol! Great to stop in and get fresh snacks for the house!

Quick trip over to my new neighborhood market and eatery for a delicious Mediterranean lunch. Hala's offers all the staples of the Arabian coast like Stuffed Grape Leaves, Fried Kibbe, Falafel, Hummus, Beef Kufta Kabob, and Lamb Shawarma. Finished with sides of Basmati rice, pickles, Tahini, Taziki and pita and washed down with the world heavyweight champion of sodas Coca Cola. The selections were delicious and I was plenty full to say the least.The best part was shopping the market while Ali prepared my food. You will find in their aisles all you will need from spices, pickles, breads, cheeses, grains, pastes, meats, teas and even serving trays and accessories. Conveniently located in the Southside area off of Philips Highway on Shad Road. Oh happy days....Hala's Mideast Market has come to Mandarin! We use to have to University Blvd to get bulgar wheat, dried mint, specific herbs and fresh pita (cheese, meat and spinach), pita breads and wraps. They are all here now! They've added an olive, tabouli, humus and about 8 other fresh dishes to "scoop up" in to-go containers as well as canned, dried products and a freezer section of food items.

Great sandwiches and groceries! I have a nice cold bar also; we grab side dishes from there to take home for entertaining or for ourselves.

A more convenient location for me than the original store. Got everything I needed to make some middle-eastern recipes like a tube of harissa. Also picked up some excellent hummus, baba ganoush, Tabbouleh, and thick pita. The baba was a little fermented on the second day, so eat it fast. No preservatives are a good thing! Also had delicious sweets from the case. They will also make dishes to your specifications if needed (we have a family member who has to stick to a low sodium diet and they really love hummus).

This is a very much needed addition to the greater east mandarin area. The place is full of European grocery items, a great selection of olive oils, cheeses, coffees, fresh baked goods, and phenomenal deserts. I was very pleased with the prices and the service I received from Ali who was attending the store today. I got my greek pasta and taramosalata (greek fish roe spread), quality semolina, house made pita bread, interesting unique lunch pack of stuffed cabbage and other goodies.

They make and sell the best baklava and food gifts in Jacksonville! Marina is an excellent guide for trying new foods and gives great advice on usage.

The pita is baked by them and is the best in town. Also they have hummus, tabouleh made also by themselves and many kinds of olives.

Had some great takeout food. Homemade gyro and a nice salad. Service was great and employees are super nice. It's in a little strip mall that also has dollar general next to the Atlantic storage. Mom and pop store. Support small business.
