Im on a mission to complete my list for Jacksonville this year and I started with Green Papaya! As soon as I walked in I was in Awe! The decor is fabulous and so well thought out, very creative in every aspect. I started with the Lychee Bourbon drink, avocado roll and Roti. The Lychee bourbon was definitely not skimping on the bourbon and still had a good flavor to it, it was also served with a fancy little light underneath. The roti was delicious and the avocado roll was just that, no bells and whistles to it.For my main dish I got the pineapple fried rice which is an all time favorite of mine. The flavor was wonderful and it was full of pineapple, cashews, raisins and the rice was cooked perfectly.Our food was also delivered by a robot which was super cool!

We had the 3 roll lunch special- spicy tuna, tuna avocado, spicy yellowtail, Las Vegas roll (too much cream cheese) and sweet potato! Love this place, it's so beautiful inside! The staff is always so friendly and the rolls taste so fresh so it's our go to. Any of the tuna rolls always are good. Prob wouldn't get the Las Vegas roll again. Sweet potato roll is amazing!!!!Parking is sometimes a little hard here, there's a lot of places within this plaza

We decided to give Green Papaya a whirl for lunch today, and let me tell you, as soon as we walked in, it felt like we'd accidentally wandered into a fancy New York restaurant instead of our usual hunt for pad Thai and sushi. The décor? Chef's kiss. From the high ceilings to the artsy walls, it screamed, "We're classy, but not snobby--you can still use your hands for sushi."The hostess greeted us with the warmth of someone who genuinely liked people, and we were seated immediately. Then came our waiter. Was he rude? No. Was he thrilled to see us? Also no. He was like a human version of an automated phone system--efficient but slightly robotic.On to the food: my husband ordered the Thai fried rice with beef, while I went for the seafood version with shrimp and scallops. Both were part of the lunch specials. Feeling adventurous (and mildly rebellious), we scanned the menu for a cooked sushi roll. Alas, the lunch menu didn't offer any, which was a bummer. But fear not! We spotted the "Out Of Control" roll on the chef's specialty menu. How could we not order something with a name like that? It practically dared us.The food delivery process deserves its own paragraph. A robot. Yes, a robot rolled up to our table with our food. If I'd known, I'd have brought it a tip--maybe a can of WD-40 or some spare batteries. The whole experience was equal parts sci-fi and "I'm definitely Instagramming this."As for the food? It was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly scarfed down in record time. We both agreed we'd come back in a heartbeat, though next time I'm requesting a waiter who looks less like they're one minor inconvenience away from mutiny.Final verdict: Green Papaya, you had me at robot.

Gorgeous atmosphere such a beautiful dining experience! Service was okay, not great.Mixed feelings on food here.. Thai food is a yes 5 stars, sushi is a hard pass. Come here for the thai food! Tom Kha had a great flavor! Roti was amazing, I want more of that sauce!! I loved my drunken noodles with scallops! Perfect spice level (got a three) and yummy juicy scallops!! Spring rolls were okay, not my favorite, but still good. Drinks were phenomenal and presented beautifully!! Now... the toro... bad. It wasn't fatty at all and looked grayish. Also on their menu it says two pieces of toro is $14.99, but when I ordered two pieces, we were given 4 smaller pieces. The server explained that the chef just cut it that way, but we would be charged for only one order, but they put two orders on the bill. I can't complain too much, because they refunded the toro since we didn't eat it, but just be warned to not order that here.

Very pretty place from the inside to the drinks to the presentation of the food. They have open bar seating and tables. Staff is very attentive. We had some 5 spice green beans for an appetizer it was very well flavored and just the right amount. The sushi was amazing and there is vegetarian options. What a fun dining experience. This location was worth the drive to Orange Park. I've dined at the St Augustine location many years ago but have not been to any other location until this past Tuesday. There is no comparison. I love the attention to detail Green Papaya has taken on (specifically this one) From drinks, to apps, to entrees, there is something added or special with each coarse. Robo cat bringing the entrees to the table was such a fun surprise. Robo kitty even talks! He/she can carry 4-6 entrees at one time! The pictures don't do the ambiance half the justice it deserves. Of course they had some Christmas decor sprinkled throughout the restaurant and bar, but even without the holiday decor, the restaurant is so beautifully decorated 24/7. Alexa and I had impeccable service from start to finish. We had the manager come by to check on us, the bartender, busser, hostess, etc. Top tier service the entire time. I loved the coconut margarita, sushi, and Thai fried rice the best. I can't wait to come back and try more items next time . If you are looking for a fun birthday spot, this is the place!

What a great time we had yesterday at Green Papaya!! Excellent service, excellent food and drink presentation!! All food was so delish, I really like the new age, hi-tech and modern interior. I like their robot server and how they celebrate their birthday guests. I enjoy seeing establishments having fun and adding cool touches to the dining experience. It's like sending their guests a reminder of why we like eating out: for the experience!! This place takes pride in sending that message and it is the coolest dining experience I have had recently.

I heard this is a good place so my family and I finally gave it a try. The place was really busy as expected on a Saturday night. There was 3 big groups, and it was pretty loud.... So wewaited for awhile. Their hostesses was really good at accommodating and getting the turn over of customers going. When we finally sat down, they have waitresses helping each other out. You're not fixed with just one server providing everything for the table. All of them attended to what we needed. Pretty cool, awesome service. My wife and I ordered their red snapper dinner that we shared, it was huge. It was actually good for 3 people. It was served fried and you have to choose what kind of sauce you want and you pick the spice level. Their Tom Kha was good too to start your dinner. We finished our dinner with mango sticky rice which was good too but it will you up as well... so my advise is to not eat all your entree and leave room for dessert. Good place

Do come here for the thai food ! Don't come here for the sushi. We ordered 2 pieces of toro were served 2 that were "cut into multiple pieces" and charged double. The toro was grey and metallic in flavor. The manager tried to gaslight us on toro... yuck. But again the thai food is never a miss here! Spring rolls were kinda small but they're good ! Enjoyed the roti canai. Their curry is super flavorful way better than other places! I could get drunk off the drunken noodles those were phenomenal in flavor and full of veggie and meat! Love the tom kha it's a must everytime. First time dining in here it's a very pretty place. The service can be a bit lacking. Would continue to order again!

This place was packed last Friday. Over an hour wait. Service was outstanding and food is alway good. We like to mix it up we order 3 to 5 appetizers 6-8 sushi and 2 to 3 dinners. Large party. Always good and there robot makes you smile.
