Great Wall Restaurant

I was working nearby so I took a walk to this place. It was fairly easy to get to which is saying a lot on busy san Jose. The shopping plaza its in appears to be deserted or at least on the end where the restaurant is. There were no cars out front. The set up inside resembles "COVID" times with a few chairs and one dinning table. The plexi glass, food box setup is till present. The cashier was nice. I called my order in once I got close so I didn't wait that long. The chicken was ok. Typical sweet and sour chicken. The rice however was a disappointment, not surprising because it seems that there are no longer any Chinese restaurants that actually fry rice. The rice seemed buttery and like I cooked it at home. The peas taste undone and even with soy sauce added there was still a lack of taste. Needless to say Im sure I won't be returning.

A local favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in Mandarin. Food is freshly made and delicious. The owners and staff are courteous, friendly and professional. Lunch and dinner times get busy so order early. Small and comfy waiting area when picking up food orders. Look forward to my next tasty meal takeout order!

Fast service.Chinese food options you expect.Clean to go (only) area .My family and I get food from Great Wall, at least once a month. They have all the items you expect from a Chinese restaurant. Since it's close to our house, we love the convenience. And while it's good, there are better Chinese food restaurants within a few miles.Did you really argue with how convenient they are, if you live in the Mandarin area

Consistent, quick and delicious. We have been customers for many years. Always quick, honest and courteous. Food is as I expect it every time

I ordered the house special lo-mein and it was the best that I've had in years. I ordered some wonton soup also great. But the star of the show are their egg rolls. I ordered some shrimp egg rolls and they were homemade with a ton of good sized shrimp in them. The place is run by a family who takes pride in their food. They are courteous and make sure that your order is right. I found my new No#1 Chinese spot for years to come.

Inconsistent quality. We have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. Yet tonight our rice was under cooked, overall the food was terrible. Definitely do not recommend.

Reliable. Not extraordinary. But convenient and filling. Generous portions, and fresh.

Great place with great food, not your tipical panda express food but real chines food with fast service and good proportions. I like the very easy going ambient and service.
