Terrible service. I tried to get an appointment online and the website wouldn't let me. Their site said o wait time. I go in and the one person told me to just a minute then another person comes in and gets checked in. And finally after almost 10 minutes I'm checked in and I'm told that there are six people ahead of me and it would be at least 35 minutes. Will never be back.

I've been coming here for years and have found a couple of stylists that I like. Checking in online, you can make requests for whom you prefer. My name on the app looks like:Ed A. STYLIST - where stylist is the name of the person you are requesting. Once you find someone who provides consistency, then it's all about the convenience of the location which for me this place falls nicely into that category. Great management who often works at the location - Regina I believe. Not all GC's are created equal and it all starts with management. This place stays busy so definitely check in online to avoid long waits.

Absolutely horrible. I had knee surgery & am unable to shampoo & blow-dry my hair on my own right now b/c I can't in the shower or at my bathroom counter. I'm in a long leg brace & on crutches.I was specific with the receptionist & told her I need a shampoo AND a blow dry with a round brush. It wasn't until the stylist had already shampooed my hair that she told me "We're too busy for me to blow dry your hair right now." I was not told this ahead of time and now have left with a wet head of hair, it's 64 degrees. Now I have to go & struggle to get my hair done & I have an event to attend in less 2 hours. I was still charged. I asked who I could speak to & was ignored.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Lala, she did my hair and my granddaughter's for a wedding. Ladies, search no more, she's right here in JCP, and reasonably priced too! I called a couple of places prior to learning that they had someone that could do "wedding" hair. So great to not have to drive 40 mins or schedule extra travel time to get my hair done. Give them a call, ask for Lala, do a dry run and Bring a picture. You won't regret it!

My first time here and it was a success!I am sorry I forgot her name, but the lady with the blue hair helped me. She had just gotten in to work saw there was a wait and hurried to get her station ready.I told her how I like my hair and she went to work. She asked me as she was going whether it was OK or short enough for me.When I was done, I had the best haircut so far!Thank you, I will be back. I had a coupon for $7.99, which was good, but I wish I had one of their $5.99 coupons for the hair cut though!!

I've visited this salon over the past two years for my 4 year old son's haircuts as it is convenient to his school. Until this week, I've never experienced an issue and to get a quick haircut for a kiddo its been a good option. The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is due to my visit this week (and the only reason I'm giving them a 3 instead of a 2 is b/c the franchise owner, Regina, called me directly to apologize for the experience). I checked in online and expected about a 15 min wait. When we arrived the receptionist stated 20 minutes...not a problem...they were busy. My son and I waited patiently (which is hard for a 4 year old but he read all the books and hung out with no issues). I told the receptionist upon arriving that my son had syrup in his hair and would need a shampoo as well as a cut. No problem she said and we waited. 20 minutes later (as quoted) they called his name. Before we could make it past the receptionist the stylist looked frustrated and concerned...over the shampoo. I said is there an issue? She said "How is this going to work? You have to come back there with me and hold him down you know how kids are." I said of course I will but he won't be an issue (my son loves to have his hair washed btw). She wasn't convinced and expressed concern again. I said if it is going to be an issue we can come back another time. She continued to walk towards the shampoo sink frustrated. At this point I was concerned with her being upset and then cutting my son's hair. She made it very clear I was putting her out. My son hopped into the seat ready to go but she looked at me and said "see how is this going to work?". I said do you have a booster to get him higher. Then my son asked her if he could get a lollipop after his hair cut...she said if you can be good then you can. (Huh?) She said see I told you (again). I said listen I get it you don't want to wash his hair. We will go somewhere else. Now I will point out that my son was not being wild, jumping around, screaming that he didn't want to wash his hair...honestly he was confused and quiet. WI took his hand and walked out with him. He said she was mean...I said (loud enough for her to hear) no son, she is just rude. Minutes later I called back and asked the receptionist for the stylists name as my plan was to report her to corporate. She apologized over and over saying she understood and I appreciated that. Within 10 minutes I received a phone call from the franchise owner apologizing and offering to make it up to me. I let her know we didn't spend a dime and did not expect anything in return other than her handling the situation internally with that stylist. So that was the bad experience...again, I've been coming here for 2 years with absolutely NO issues. So would I return...ugh maybe. For the convenience to his school...maybe/probably. But I can tell you if I ever walk in there and see the same stylist...I will walk out and wait for another day. I honestly have a better option closer to my home which is a new location and I really like their work and stylists. But until this week I wouldn't have thought twice about coming to this Great Clips. I hope they work out this issue internally and figure it out for future guests.

I don't write many reviews, but this experience has made me feel the need to share. I took my 2 daughters to Great Clips on Race Track Rd on 7/11/19. One of my daughters had Elena, an older woman with a strong accent. She asked for a shampoo and cut, wanting 4 inches off straight across the bottom, and a very slight, long angle on either side of her face. What she got was 6 inches cut off, and LAYERS!I didn't know this while we were there, but apparently she was extremely harsh and rude with my daughter. While shampooing her hair she was telling her how bad her split ends were and throwing hair, with shampoo in it, into her face! She was also apparently trying to tell my daughter to sit up straighter, but she couldn't understand her with her thick accent. I guess this must have frustrated her and that's why she was throwing her wet hair in her face. All I have to say about that is that she's very lucky I didn't see that happen, or know about it until later, or this review would have been given very loudly, and in person. Elena needs to realize that 13 year old girls are very attached to their long hair, and that they should be treated with respect, just like she would hopefully give an adult customer. My daughter was inconsolable for hours after we got home. She is still extremely unhappy and now doesn't want to go to ANY hair salon for future cuts. I can assure you we will not be back to this, or any, Great Clips salons.

The receptionist at the Race Track Road location refused to place my friend in the queue for a cut because my friend does not have a phone number. Great Clips has managed to find a new way to quickly, effectively, and publicly make a woman in crisis feel worse about herself and her situation. She will not return and neither will I.
