I don't know about the other reviews from years ago but right now 2024, this is the BEST tasting savory Chinese food in Jax. Everything has flavor and they really stepped it up. Thanks!

Nasty! I ordered fride dumplings and they tasted horrible with a strange texture. My boyfriend ordered General Tso's Chicken and I ordered sesame chicken basicly they just used the exact same sauce just pit sesame seeds on mine. My good was horribly sweet and tasted really bad

I ordered food from this establishment on 09/19/2021 as a new customer. I usually go to The Avenues for Chinese but they were closed.As I was craving Chinese so badly, I decided to go to a local joint( I got house special lo menu and honey wings and my partner got curry shrimp with house special lo melon, neither of us ate much of the food and we're both on the toilet).Albeit, the food didn't agree with my stomach. I'm not sure if it was due to me ordering near closing time or what.I tried to contact this establishment by phone to see if they'll give me a refund and they said I needed a doctors note.I tried explaining that when you hadn't ate much that day and eat at a new place and suddenly have diarrhea, it's the food but the manager insisted that I needed a doctors note in order to receive a refund.I am very disappointed not so much over the refund but how of the food quality since many reviews were good and the fact that I'm practically glued to the toilet.This is totally unacceptable and irresponsible of the company to behave this way to a FIRST time customer. I get that many companies are having rough times due to COVID-19 but that doesn't mean to treat potential customers like crap.

Such a FRIENDLY establishment!! Rice is super and all food fast and fresh. I'll never go anywhere else on the west side. TY for being such an excellent place !!!

Well I have to say I came back today and I seen no change on this place from my last review it was okay for a lunch spot in a pinch. I would not really recommend the place to many people there is way better food close by.

Golden China is my favorite Chinese restaurant! They have all sorts of authentic Chinese cuisine ranging from sweet and sour chicken to the likes of yellow rice! I definitely you should give them a chance.

At first this place was amazing . I live close by and this was my go to takeout spot ... but then the rice started to taste like a rusting pan ... I couldn't shake the taste , I took a break from this place and couldn't find the quality of their food anywhere I really wanted to go back assuming it was just something that they have yet to notice but did eventually while I wasn't going.. sadly when I returned it still had the same taste . Like whatever they were cooking the rice in needed a good clean or just needed to be thrown away completely. If that wasn't an issue I'd still go but every-time I tried to give it a chance after the first time I noticed the taste it hasn't changed so I gave up completely.... Hopefully they get it handled and the food goes back to how amazing it was at first . Until then I won't be returning ....

Honestly , I'm livid. Don't have many words to say this time, but this; I ordered a shrimp meal (schezwan shrimp) ...and as I'm preparing my food, I see some critter.... (photos attached) just laying there...In my food. I took a second to calm down, and I call the place, and the way they handled it...made it worse. The lady tells me to bring the food back..so she can show her staff the bug....[as if they haven't seen bugs before ]. I explain to her I'm at work until 0600, and I can't come back until sometime tomorrow. She then says "put the bug in the fridge and you can bring him back tomorrow"........needless to say...FU** this place and I will not be going back.

Well, I don't think I'll will be returning to Golden China Rest. again because I was not happy with my order, which I had the shrimp and garlic sauce, that wasn't the best, with the vegetables was not cooked to the tenderness that they should have been, but the shrimp was large & tender and there was no taste for the garlic sauce.

I love this place! The food is tasty and they are always friendly! I love the vegetarian options, and the cheese wonton are the best!
