This mom-and-pop ice cream shop is an absolute gem! They have an incredible selection of flavors, including unique options you rarely see elsewhere, like durian. We tried the dragon fruit and sesame ice creams, and both were phenomenal. The flavors were bold and authentic, and the scoops were generous--definitely worth the price.The shop was buzzing with energy even on a Saturday night around 9 pm, which added to the cozy and inviting vibe. The decor is cute and charming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a sweet treat. On top of all that, the staff were incredibly kind and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you're a fan of adventurous or classic flavors, this place has something for everyone. A must-visit for ice cream lovers--5 stars all the way!

Food: Amazing! Everything is home-made and tasty! Wide variety of flavors including dairy free, sugar free, regular and most importantly, Asian exotic flavors (ube, sesame, pandan, lychee, etc). It's a must try. You can have these ice creams in cones (if ur basic), banana split (if you're sorta cool), and halo halo (if u a real one).Service: sweet ladies with good recommendations. Vietnamese and locally owned!Ambiance: clean and colorful. Wonderful for kids to come. It's next to the beach, so stop by after a swim!!! Perfect for a hot day... which is everyday....

Absolutely delicious!! And a great vibe!This family owned ice cream spot offers over 70 ice cream flavors!!They have traditional flavors and exotic, dairy free options AND alcohol infused options!So far I have tried 12 flavors and each one was so fresh and rich. The staff has been helpful and friendly every time I have gone in, allowing me to sample flavors and providing suggestions.You've got to stop by Gator Ice Cream for a sweet treat, they have unique flavors and fresh takes on classics!

This was a nice surprise after an afternoon at the beach! A group of nine of us went and initially I thought that we might overwhelm the small operation but no, they moved us through like champs. As soon as we entered, several small parties arrived as well and the place was packed. The owner was visibly pleased by the line and put his phone up to take pictures/videos. I must say that he has a lot to be proud of! This is definitely some of the best ice cream in Jacksonville. And with two people in our group who can't eat dairy, we were thrilled to see the number of non-dairy ice creams and sorbets.We sampled several flavors before deciding what we wanted. I enjoyed their version of ube and banana cream pie. I ended up ordering rocky road only to learn that they didn't have it in stock. So I got oreo crunch. The other flavors our group ordered were butterscotch crunch, totally coconut, mint chocolate chip, strawberry, mad vanilla, strawberry sorbet, dairy free chocolate, blueberry cheesecake, boozy butterscotch crunch, dairy free toasted coconut rum, dairy free mint chocolate. I liked the little waffle wheels that were included with all the ice cream scoops. I love rocky road so while I was a little disappointed that I had to pivot, the oreo crunch was delicious. There were chunks of cookies inside! And the waffle cone that I got was fresh. Everyone loved the ice cream and sorbet. However, the dairy free options were a miss. The flavors were great but the consistency was not good at all, gelatinous almost. It was very weird and unlike any nondairy options that we'd tasted at any other place. We tried calling back to ask about the ingredients but no one answered. Despite the non-dairy ice cream snafu, I would definitely recommend this place. If you are lactose intolerant or have a milk/dairy allergy, opt for the sorbets! I hope that in time they get more seating as we had to awkwardly stand outside the store and eat in/on our cars in the parking lot or on the way home.

THIS place is what Yelp is all about!! Finding the hidden gem - high quality product made from scratch with HEART! I got the passion fruit & coconut ice creams and they are slap your mama good. No preservatives and fresh FRESH taste. The owners greeted us and crafted our lil cups while adding the toppings and sauce with such TLC. Be still my heart! The cutest ice cream decor hangs from the ceiling and fun chill music playlist in the small seating area. Great intimate date night spot off the beaten path though it's right behind mellow mushroom. If you live in Jax Beach and call yourself a local, try this place!

Super friendly husband and wife team who freshly make a wide variety of flavors all in this small shop! There's more traditional flavors, dairy free, boozy, as well as exotic flavors. We went exotic this time with --durian, jackfruit, soursop, and passion fruits. The flavors were excellent and ice cream was very creamy. Their scoops are generous and you get one free topping as well. They're just a couple blocks away from JAX Beach so definitely worth stopping by and checking them out!

There are a variety of cone options, and cup sizes, as well as stuffed waffles and toppings. One topping is included. You can also choose milkshakes and more.The decor is super cute, and the service was incredibly friendly. Will be back!

Came here after a bad experience at the Dairy Queen nearby and I am so happy we did! This place is amazing. The workers/owners are so friendly, the ice cream was delicious, and it was very clean! There are so many flavors to choose from too. Definitely come here if you are looking for ice cream in the area!

The Gator Ice Cream logo & entire shop is adorable. The owners were extremely welcoming & proud of their shop-rightfully so! The ice cream is made in-house and they have a fantastic variety of flavors. On the day of my visit, they were offering 26 flavors which included 4 dairy-free & 5 "adult" flavors made with liquor.I HAD to try one of the adult flavors so I went with Butterscotch Crunch (made with butterscotch schnapps) in a waffle cone. I loved it so much that I completely forgot to take a picture because I devoured it so quickly! The butterscotch flavor was perfect, the alcohol gave it a bit of a punch, & the waffle cone was perfectly light and crispy.
