As I rounded the corner, I noticed a couple eating inside this corner spot, that usually doesn't have any movement inside.My hunger (and curiosity) made my hand open the door to this artistic, quaint, relaxed little restaurant. A nice greeting hit my ears, and I sat at the bar that gives you an aquarium view of the kitchen.My hunger also tried to trick my brain into reading the entire menu, but when saw red beans and rice, brain made a decision and ordered! Can't wait!Good conversation with the cook, and the food was hot and delish! Hit the spot!! Even though I was right there looking into the kitchen, I was given peace to eat my meal. I liked that!Next time, I am getting po'boy, because the bread that came with my food was the kind they use for the po'boy, and it was memorable, with a hint of baguette! Great job guys!

I love the truck, I love the cafe, I love the staff! I am addicted to the Hot Chick and loooove the fake eggs with yolk. The poboy is great, too. Don't sleep on the specials, either. I'm very much a tea snob and theirs is 10/10, strong and fresh. The new place is decorated so cute, it's comfortable and clean with table or counter seating. I've never had a bad or even so-so meal here. Always delicious food, always a warm welcome from the crew - a rarity in GNV

This place made me feel like I had already been there for some reason maybe in a dream or something the cook was cool not only was the food amazing the portions were big enough for two people usually when the portions are big the food lacks in flavor or something but let me tell you the red beans and rice with grilled beyond sausage and toast was killer in flavor just perfect don't say I didn't put yall on game

John at Frenchman just made me and my friends some absolutely insanely good food! We had the Pork Sando and the Tofu Po Boy, and they were both incredible. Bright flavors inside of the freshest bread I've eaten in probably months. Pro tip: get the red beans and rice, at least a side. Ridiculously great! They also have a really nice hot sauce selection if you wanna spice it up a bit. This place rules.

Great vegan food and excellent service. So good we ordered two meals to go for lunch tomorrow since we live outside of Gainesville.
