Who am I? What is my purpose? What is the meaning of life? Are there infinite universes with infinite timelines playing out in parallel to our own right now? Are there infinite timelines of me writing this review right now? Is everything chaos and accidental, or is life predetermined? Was I destined to eat that apple bun? Or did the chaos of the universe simply provide a strange opportunity? The more you know, the more you realize how much you don't know. What I do know, is that apple bun allowed me to transcend space and time, and unlocked an inner peace and understanding that braided me into my surroundings. With each bite I found new depths of my soul and consciousness. Waves of emotion washed over me. I could see my birth. I saw my death. I lived a thousand lifetimes in mere minutes. Time sped up and stood still simultaneously. How could a simple combination of fruit and pastry move my emotions in such a powerful way? Every ingredient was a vehicle for the next, dancing together in a harmonic, choreographed waltz. A calming chaos ensued as I finished. I felt one with the world. Nature seemed to pulse in time with my heart. I could speak ancient languages that had been lost to the slipping sands of time.I returned home and counted the grains of sand on the beach, and spoke to the sand pipers scurrying around the retreating waves. Until next time, Freida's.

Came upon this family owned bakery on my recent trip to Crescent Beach, Fl. I live fresh baked bread as opposed to the processed grocery store breads! I had to try it. Purchased the baguettes and the sourdough bread, both were really good and I will definitely go back there on my next visit!! Try them out!

I LOVE French bakeries and was excited to try this place! I could wait to come here, when my mom told me about it. TIP: be ready to stand outside in a line for a while. It is a small shop and there is a line before doors open! And only outside seating. They had everything from mimosa, breads, opened faced sandwiches and coffee. Everything we got was so good and I don't think you can go wrong with any item off the menu.

I have never been there! They are either closed or super busy because they are closed a lot! My son and daughter in law were able to pick up delicious baked goods for Mothers Day! Not sure why they went into business. The Hammock needs restaurants that are open!

We were visiting from Saint Augustine with my sister from Montana. Our niece highly recommended. We rushed to make it before closing, asked what was good, were told "more like what is left." We waited patiently as the customer before us ordered multiple items requiring preparation. There are three of us; three separate customers. We were never spoken to by the guy in the back. Two women entered as my sister was being helped, the guy in the back came out, greeted them, and when they asked if there were anymore sandwiches, he said no, but proceeded to suggest and prepare custom sandwiches for them. He never acknowledged us at all. I had selected what I was going to purchase, but decided not to buy anything. Extremely disappointed.

Went to Frieda's bakery this morning and all I can say is WOW! This place was absolutely amazing! It smelled so good inside. It is a very small place so it's a little tight and there was a line but it was 1000% worth the wait. There is plenty of outside seating. I could have very easily gotten 1 of everything they had today. I had the Black Forest ham and Gruyère croissant which was one of the best food items I've had in a long time. The pretzel Croissant was also very good. Got some focaccia bread, chocolate croissant, and cheese and scallion biscuit as well which I haven't tried yet but can't imagine they'd be anything other than fantastic. I hate to even share this as I want to keep this place all to myself lol but seriously if you go check them out.

I hesitate to give them five stars even though this is five star food for sure. The couple running this VERY small bakery is making food so much better than there competitors in that they are already too busy. I got there ten minutes after they open on a Friday and there were about a dozen people in line to get in side. It moved pretty quick but there were a few issues. I got out of there with a sizable to-go order in about 30 min. They did not have lunch sandwiches available in the morning but everything I tried was top notch. Ham and cheese croissant was incredible. Sourdough loaf was definitely the best around. I had a pastry with a perfectly executed macchiato and they have a wide variety of imported provisions available too. There is Olive Oil, Pasta, pickles and olives and such it is very European. I will be back when I can make it work but limited hours and likelihood of running out of things quickly will make it a challenge. Five star food no doubt.

What a delightful treat! Since I was there for breakfast, I had a buttery croissant with delicious chocolate inside. My friend had the morning bun which was with cinnamon and sugar on the outside. We also had the fig and honey latte which came out steaming. We observed people ordering sandwiches that were made on croissants and on focaccia bread. There was a wall with various olive oils, jams, and other goodies to take home. They also had a refrigerator case that had homemade pastas in it and sardines. It is a very small facility as there are only three stools for sitting inside at a counter. But if the weather is nice, there is plenty of seating outside. I have been told that sometimes there is a line outside waiting to place an order and get food...don't hesitate to wait in the line, it goes fast and when you get your food you'll be so glad that you waited. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday only but they open at 10 o'clock and don't close until 4 o'clock. My only regret is that I didn't have time to get back there to have lunch and to enjoy one of the delicious sandwiches.
