Frankie’s Chicago Beef

We went to the Red Clover tonight at the European Village. I'm not sure of the exact setup but it seems like Red Clover is the bar and restaurant and Frankie's is in the kitchen serving their food there. The inside is very small, maybe 12-15 chairs at the bar and approximately 9 tables which several are 2 people seating. They do have outdoor seating but no real coverage nor do they have heaters. We ordered margaritas very pretty but so watered down. I ordered 6 chicken wings, garlic butter on the side and onion rings with cheese dip. My husband ordered the Italian beef combo with full dip and hot peppers. French fries came with his combo. My wings were good as were the onion rings. I really didn't care for the cheese dip and would not order again. My husband said the sandwich was ok, nothing special. The hot peppers were good but the meat just didn't have the flavor and the way it was cut wasn't easy to eat. He did like the fries even though the ketchup he asked for never arrived. A little disappointing since he was so excited for this sandwich.

We hit Frankie's this week. A pretty decent beef sandwich and the Mrs had the pizza puff.One of her faves and it was exactly the true Chicago pizza puff. The dude has RC cola. RC. Cool.I'm a sweet and hot peppers guy. His hot had a definite bite. It actually brought out a few tears hot.I've eaten giardiniera since I was a kid. You want one that will hang on your tongue a while. Go see Frank.Gotta go back and try the gyro and dog

My daughter said this is the best gyro she's ever had. The pita bread was super fresh and the meat is good. My husband said the Italian beef is the best he has ever had. He is an Italian beef connoisseur. The sweet peppers were amazing, dipped to perfection and you can tell it's homemade. I had the cheese fries and the cheese was good on top of the fries. Everything was BURNING hot and FRESH! So glad we tried it. Our daughter just started going to college in St. Augustine and we will be out here a lot and this will be our go-to spot. The customer service was superb and you can tell they are passionate about their food. They were so excited for us to try their food and honestly they had every right to be. Honestly, amazing food. The ambiance is so nice. The seating is nice and there was live music. My family loved every moment here.

WOW!! Been in JAX for 7+ years......tried every place in a 50 mile radius that claimed to have "Chicago " food......Frankie's the best around and it's not even close! gyros were authentic, hot dog was legit.....and PIZZA PUFFS!! Looking forward to trying a beef on my next visit

What an amazing place to eat. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had the Italian Beef and I would highly recommend it, but get it dipped, adds so much flavor to this already fantastic sandwich! We will definitely be back for more!

Great Place. Red Clover/Frankies Chicago Beef. Staff is great, drinks are great and the Chicago Style Food is amazing. Frankie nailed it with the Chicago Style Pizza. This is now our go to spot for it. Great job to all.

I cannot say enough how absolutely amazing these Italian Beef sandwiches are! We started found Franks when it was a food truck. Now we drive an hour to get to the new location! They're located in Red Clover at European Village courtyard and staff is so nice. Apps are always good, Drinks from the bar are delicious, and the Italian beef sandwiches are hands down the best I have ever eaten in the state of Florida! If you don't believe me, try them.... You will not be disappointed!

Generally good but very noisy. They were very heavy on the yellow mustard on the Chicago style hot dog.

Being from Illinois originally, it was hard to find an authentic Italian beef sandwich down here. Frankie's is the real deal. I just wish they were still at marina munch in St. Augustine.

Showed Frankie's food truck at st Augustine. Don't believe it went looking for a roast beef. They haven't been there for awhile. Just found out Frankie's moved to a brick and mortar store. So I'll hold off my review until I can get there. But still disappointed it's farther away.
