Pretty window dressing, but a nightmare to deal with! Beautiful venue, very spacious! They let someone go during the process of my wedding unbeknownst to me on the day of the wedding with good reason. She was forgetful and confused. Left us wide open for liability for not submitting our liquor permit on time. The policy was for a million dollars. Not something I can afford to get sued for. She kept suggesting things we stated we did not want. She didn't take any notes, had to have two or more sit downs to get the details straight. Promised our deposit back and never refunded. Told us almost everyone gets deposit back, only 2 occassions where they didn't. One was for kids tracking muddy feet and someone else who spilled wine. Basically lied about how the deposit works in the contract. Left a bad taste in our mouths about the internal workings of the event. Outwardly , everything was nice to our guest until she started talking about getting out of the business in front of my guests. I talked to the owner who asked me to produce records they already had to prove I paid almost $3200. I knew from the second conversation with her that she was not going to refund me. She was not at all apologetic and made no excuses about her employee she fired or an effort at any amends with me. She kept asking what I wanted from her. When I said my $500 deposit, she said, "Well I'm not going to do that." She has since blocked my number and erased all of her texts she sent me. She said I damaged her venue by leaving a bad review. Gee, I wonder why!
