Five Star Pizza

Really good pizza! Was in town visiting some friends and needed something quick, close by, and still open. Five Star Pizza was one of the only places that fit the bill so we gave it go. It is in the same parking lot as a gas station, but it is not connected and is it's own shop. Although they had a nice website with online ordering capabilities, we did opt to call in our order. The Citra location does not offer delivery, so we did takeout. It was very easy to place our order and it was ready within ~15 minutes. They offer small, large, x-large, and something else that must be very big sized pizza, some calzones and subs. We ordered a large pizza with a half and half option. One half cheese, the other sausage, peppers, and onions. There was plenty of pizza and it was really good! It had a nice doughiness to it but not in an undercooked way. I did notice online you can order thin crust or crustless as well - however, I liked it the way it was. The sauce was tasty, it was pretty cheesy, and there was a good amount of toppings added.

The pizza here is very good! We get Piezilla a lot and that can feed up to 10-15 people! The service is quick and nice, and it's a very small place, but it's packed with much flavor. I definitely recommend this for a last minute home dinner

Sauce is great , always fresh and hot .toppings are adequate and is our fix for quality pizza joint.

We were skeptical about stopping here but I'm glad we did. The garlic knots were awesome

It's good pizza. I love their piezilla for bigger parties. It's 24" wide. Prices are good. They are pretty quick. It's our go to local spot.

This place could be so much better. I love most of their foods, but sometimes the quality is not so great. I also wish they had eggplant or sausage subs. The pizza by the slice is such a good deal!!

I had heard a couple of people talking about Give Star and decided to try it out. What a disappointment. I have ordered ahead. When I arrived, two employees were standing just outside the door smoking away (while one apparently chastised the other for some infraction) creating a cloud I had to walk through. The person who waited on me was sullen, couldn't find the order and when he did locate it, part of it wasn't ready and took a long time to prepare. The specialty pizza was bland. It didn't taste bad. It just wasn't good. And this is a minor thing but the pieces were sloppily cut into very uneven slices--some were more than twice as big as others. Had it been intended for children squabbling would have ensued over slice sizes. The salad that took so long to prepare was iceberg lettuce and slivers of pale, flavorless tomatoes. The brownie we got for dessert was okay. None of the employees were masked. There are far better pizza places in Micanopy, Gainesville and Ocala that are worth the drive. I've no interest in giving this place a second chance.

We have been staying nearby for the past few months and have ordered from here at least 7-8 times. We tend to get the same thing (large cheese) and have been pleased with the service, food and quality. It is hot, made to order and good! It's not a "rustic artisan" joint - so let's keep perspective but it's good pizza.

The best five star pizza I've ever had. I don't know what kind of magic they do, but it's amazing

Only pizza place in Citra I use. I searched and searched many places but none as good as 5 star.
