Fisherman's Cove Picnic Pavillion

Nice picnic area right on the St Johns river located on NAS JAX. It's sprinkling outside now but skies are clear- temperature is in the 80s so very nice to be outdoors. Good place to bring a bagged lunch or picnic basket and enjoy a nice meal on the water. Free views of military aircraft landing/taking off as well as doing Touch and Gos.

This is a nice picnic area/park right on the St. Johns River. It is on the Naval base and frequented by military/civilian staff who want a nice view for the lunch. I've met my wife here a few times for lunch and got to relax away from the crazies of the hospital. The space looks like it is decently kept and picked up. It has a pier if you would like to walk out over the water (there's even a bench at the end). A classic park grill sits outside of the main pavillion, but I'm not so sure I would use it in its current state... Anyway, this is a nice place to get away for an hour or so.
