This outdoor market is conveniently located in the historic district. And east to get to. Parking can be challenging, but we lucked out finding a spot less than a block away. It was busy. There were a lot of folks walking up and down -- it's up a hill and down a hill checking out all the booths. They have food, produce, art, plants, jewelry, clothing, honey, spices, flowers, micro greens, oyster mushrooms, mosquito repellant, candles, etc etc. So there's a lot to look at. As we were visiting and staying in a hotel, we didn't buy any of the produce (from local farms), but we did get some locally produced honey. It was fun to browse and talk to the people. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Another great find- I've hit this market a few times and always on hot summer days! The fresh lemonade is always a huge hit. Plenty of fresh foods, produce, baked goods, honey, jellies, snacks and food! This time had a bunch of artisans too and I adore the little plant stands (that's what I bought- plants!). Parking on a Saturday can be interesting- you will probably have to walk a bit to visit the market, but it is worth it! And both times I have gone, Hillary's Pizza has been there and can I just say- they have the best pie!

I can't resist a local Farmer's Market and this one was especially colorful and enjoyable. Fresh produce and Fresh Amelia Island Shrimp -- you know Amelia Island claims to be the birthplace of modern day shrimping. Its only about a block long, but the streets were vibrant with customers and the street entertainers, mostly musicians, contributed to the festive atmosphere. Be sure to support locally owned places and do your part to see what fresh made ingredients can do to your enjoyment of food. ... or see what local artisans have crafted up.

The shrimp is so fresh. We got white two Saturdays ago and red last Saturday from the vendor. Also the vegetable and fruit vendor is amazing. The plums were a great price and you can't even get them at the grocery store.

Support local owned businesses. Reasonable prices and unique finds. We were happy with our haul. Parking can be found on the side streets, don't block private driveways. Loved the plant guy.

Honestly, being my first time, I wasn't expecting much. My expectations were spot on. There were the typical offerings. There were a few surprises, like one vendor who offered various dips. They were awesome. It was a typical, good market. Nothing special and certainly nothing bad.

Really enjoyed this market. It was a breath of fresh air for us New England transplants to be able to find fresh veggies, plants etc in Nov. This market is appropriately named "marketplace" not "farmer's market". There are growers but also artisans who make foods, sell spices, and other products. Often farm markets have rules for vendors...like "no vendors may sell anything they don't grow". Yet, there are bakers selling cookies made from Domino sugar, King Arthur Flower etc. I don't care as long as the final product is locally made or caught or grown. This market seems to be relaxed in its rules, yet very well spread out in terms of products and offerings yet, I am a bit mystified by one vendor selling Alaskan scallops (frozen) and another had CA strawberries. It's a fun way to spend a Sat morning.

A smallish one block open air market. 9 am to 1 in the afternoon rain or shine every Saturday. I would say there is probably a little more than two dozen who's set up, with a nice ranges of goods for sale, from plants and salsas, to seasoned salt and produce, to baked good and jerky. I'd say if you are in the area Saturday morning head on over and take a casual stroll. You just might walk away with something new and fun.
