Famous Sandwiches and Subs

this place is amazing from the moment I walked in the ambience of a hole in the wall. I wasn't sure what to get, but there's a customer that frequently goes there that was able to give me a great recommendation. There's a strong set of community of locals that frequent there one being a math teacher in a group of older gentleman that offered me their hot sauce. The food was amazing.

I've been coming to this particular location for years, so I'm shocked that I haven't already written this review and shown them some love. I work nights, so it's quite often that I'm craving dinner foods for breakfast. What I love about this place is that they open at 6am, and I can get my favorite burger and fries combo from opening to closing, and the price is great for the quality ($5.99). Everything is made to order, so I never have to worry about the freshness of my food. My fries are always piping hot, and sprinkled with seasoned salt, which is a nice touch. The menu varies from different breakfast and lunch combos and platters to sandwiches, pitas, and subs, so it's a refreshing change from your typical fast food establishment. Everyone that I've encountered here has just been so friendly and gracious, and it's easy to tell that this is a family owned eatery. Famous Sandwiches and Subs is definitely the "diamond in the rough" of the area, and I highly recommend this location to one and all!

Customer service is always on point and the food is great for the price. The pitas are always a go too. The burgers are kinda basic you can tell they're frozen

All of the food is bland the tots are unsalted and raw the cheese eggs came with an unmelted single slice of cheese on them and the cheese grits came bland and missing the cheese. The eggs in the pita aren't even salted or nothing. Zero flavoring or seasoning bland AF. I would absolutely recommend burger King over this place. Don't waste your money I feel like I threw 35 bucks in the trash.

Location of this Famous Sandwich is great as competition can be found no where in sight. I feel the burger has a combination of BK and Mickey D's combined, in terms of the bread and meat. I also feel like the bread over consumes the meat but the cost of the meal reflects that, it's fairly cheap.The staff is nice and I've been inside a few times, most of my trip here is thru the drive-thru which by the way can be inaccessible if there are more than two cars at the drive-thru window. You will be left waiting in line on the main road of San Juan, just FYI.

This is my third time coming here in a two month period. I got the bacon cheese burger, fries and sweet tea. I have no complaints about this place. They are always fast and the cashiers polite and my food comes hot. I will never go to Burger King again.

This was a random trip to this place because my boy wanted to meet and chop it up. I've always passed it...thinking it was just some random hole in the wall spot......until I finally ate here. Lol. The food is bomb.com! Lol. It's definitely a mom and pop type place, and everybody knew Shaun (my boy I was with). Apparently he eats here everyday. It's not a restaurant, but more like a to go spot with a dining area...but don't get it twisted it's definitely a comfortable place to eat, and the employees are hospitable and kind and very attentive. There is a wide variety of things to choose from on the menu and after seeing me ponder for a while, the lady at the cash register helped me find what I was looking for. I ended up getting the fish breakfast plate, which was Swai, eggs grits and some toast. There's a lady in the back that cooks, and everybody refers to her as "mama". After eating her food, I immediately realized why. It's just like mamas good ole breakfast seasoned and cooked to perfection. I got my eggs scrambled with cheese and grilled onions and my fish fried hard. Grits with cheese were to die for. Needless to say I'll be back. Next time with the family. This is a west side jewel for sure.

This has been the go to spot for years. Being a creature of habit I automatically tend to get the Philly steak in a sack w/ a side of fries/seasoning & cherry lime aid for a drink. :)Truly you can't beat the prices and the portions of the food. The burgers are just as delicious.

Wonderful place! Very clean and wonderful customer service! The #9 is a must try with cherry limeade and seasoning on the fries! Have a blessed day
