El Patio

I'm going four stars. The Michelatta is awesome. Great selection of tequilas. I ordered the Chilles rellegnos with rice and beans, it was supper fresh the breading and cheese and sauce were perfect. I also had some Tamales which were also very well made with a nice red sauce. As I was eating noticed to different work crews coming in for lunch the staff is supper friendly and the inside is clean and welcoming.

Dark, only some of the lights were on. Looked like it was half defunct, and the table was disgusting. The server left before we noticed the state of our table, so we had to clean it ourselves. The food is slathered in cheese in a way that covers up a need for actual skill in cooking.

On my most recent visit, I ordered a chicken chimichanga lunch special to go. I really enjoyed it. The order was ready quickly and came with chips and salsa. The salsa is light on cilantro, which I like. I have also eaten in house. The restaurant is not fancy, but is comfortable. The queso is good as well. I especially like it on the high spring special steak.

Agree completely with Don and Nanci. The service was under par (very friendly just super slow) and no mention of any margaritas, drink specials, or drink menu. We waited over 15 minutes before a food order was taken and over 15 minutes for our check. However, the food was great! El Patio, train your servers better and this place would be five stars!

Best Marci can food worth the drive friendly service tons of food but the best was the taste I do not eat guacamole but this place has the best I have ever tasted ate all of mine I could have ordered more the sides were excellent the tamales very tasty. Tacos crispy and fantastic taste will go back OFTEN it's worth the drive from Gainesville

The hostess is RUDE! Not even a hello when we walked in the door, put the menus down at the table and didn't even wait for us to sit, she just walked away. The server was super nice and attentive. The food was good not very tasty but good. At checkout the girl snatched the check and credit card of my hand and continue ti do what she was doing. We had to wait for her to finished so we can get checked out.

I thought the food was very good. Trust be we have eat at a bunch of Mexican restaurants. The service was just ok. Nothing special. Nothing to make Margaritas with. Overall I would come back.

Traveling from north to south we stopped by for Mexican food; at first glance it's nicely decorated and the food certainly looks Mexican, however this is an American mexican restaurant.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't eat the chips and salsa; I'm not sure which of the two it was, but we all got instantly sick with a pain in our stomachs and felt nauseated, and could not fully enjoy the rest of the food. I usually don't go out of my way to post reviews but seeing my son sick I figured I should if it helps to avoid someone else getting sick--he never gets like that. All of us getting sick was made it pretty clear as we altogether ate chips and salsa upon arriving.The server was nice the ambiance was great, and the rest of the food was ok (could use more salt, but there's salt at the table so it was ok)

Absolutely awful service. The waitress was impatient, rude, and refused to give an itemized receipt. Apparently the restaurant operates on a mystery pricing system where everything is ridiculously overpriced. If you want good Mexican food in Alachua I thoroughly recommend you go to Taco Bell before here. I would give less than 1 star if possible. I want a Marg on Sunday

I had the most wonderful time with ashtin wilson as my server! She suggested what to order (chorizo and mushroom quesadillas+ fajitas for one) cause I wasn't very sure what to get, now I'm in love with the place. I thank you Ashtin and wish you much blessings with your baby. I will be back after the way I was taken care of! -Tammy Bagwell
