I came here with a friend on a quiet Monday night. The bartender let me know to sit anywhere, and I opted for a booth. The server was attentive and greeted us quickly. There were so many different options it was hard to pick! I am pescatarian and opted for 3 bean tacos. They were great. We also started with chips and salsa, which was more like pico de gallo than salsa. The portion of the salsa was very small and underwhelming. While the food and service were good, the atmosphere was more like a fast casual restaurant than a sit down restaurant and bar. Just seemed a bit cheap inside. There was a cute photo wall that we took advantage of though!

Food is always good but sometimes it's really really good! :)This place is still my go-to for tacos. Service is friendly & quick.Love this place.

We used to really like this place when it was smaller. Now that they have expanded the last 2 trips will probably be our last. Meat and filling are good but chips, tortillas, and on the vessels don't get heated. So my tostadas were tasty, but the crunCHEWY shells just ruined the food. Service was slow - complete lack of urgency - and that's from all the staff. We probably drove past 5+ other places to get here but they will be removed from our rotation.

Food was delicious and awesome. The service was spot on. The vibe, music, and layout is amazing. It was my first visit to El Castillo but I will be back for more steak, chicken, and shrimp. The rice, beans, tortilla, and veggies were great too.

We came on a friday night and we were seared immediately. Our server was very kind and brought us chips and salsa and took our drink order while we browsed the menus. The chips were a little stale but the salsa was good enough that we didn't mind. Our server brought our margaritas and was also very patient with us as we tripped of over the pronunciation which I appreciated. While we waited for our food we sipped our margaritas which tasted great. For flavors they had mango, passionfruit, strawberry and a couple others. For the tacos the Cabeza was my favorite, it had a nice had a good fat to meat ratio. The Pastor had a nice flavor but wasn't very tender. The Caldo de res which was the beef rib soup was the star of the show. The soup had a flavorful and hearty broth, the vegetables were tender and the meat slid right off the bone and wasn't over cooked.Lastly we got the Costilla de Res al la Plancha which consisted of beef ribs that had a nice flavor but were a little dry. Overall the food was good and I'll definitely stop by again.

It was a cute well laid out place. We were served chips and salsa and given menus right away. We placed our food and drink order. I enjoyed my frozen lime margarita (they have several premade machines and different flavors. I ordered the carne asada and my husband ordered the chili relleno which is one of his favorite dishes he said one of them was much better than the other. My meat was pretty good but nothing special and the rice was not good. The bathroom was a one room and the door had space in frame you could see in from hallway very uncomfortable and it was out of soap. We finished our meal and waited a very long time never saw our waitress again my husband had to ask for the bill and a take home box. Apparently all three waitresses were more interested in taking care of the one guy at the bar then us.

Took the family from out of town to El Castillo for tacos yesterday. They have a Taco Tuesday special which you can get 3 tacos and an agua Fresca for 9.99 a person; you get to choose pastor, chicken or asada and the how of agua Fresca you would like. The tacos were packed with meat, onions and cilantro they also bring out salsa verde and hot sauce for the table and chips with salsa. We also ordered queso and guacamole and it was all delicious. One thing we would say it's that the al pastor meat was a bit dry and could have been a bit more warm but other than that it was great, the staff was super tentative and keep checking on us. The restaurant was nice and clean. Definitely a must try in a mandarin area.

Terrible service. Mediocre food. Waitress on the phone the whole time. Asked for salsa and chips twice, never got. Tea tasted rotten. Watered down margarita. Charged for items we didn't get AFTER we were brought the check and found it on the final receipt when they ran our card. Don't eat here.

I read about this place, it sounded great, so I went there. I walked in and it took my breath away. I hurriedly walked right back out again. The chemical smell in the restaurant just about knocked me off my feet, I could only imagine that the food would smell like chemicals as well.
