Dwight's Bistro

Dwights is one of the first places we went when we started going to restaurants again. The experience was great and reminded us of what we had been missing while cooking at home and having takeout for months on end. Every time I go back I remember the good times we had there. The service is excellent and even though you might not realize from the street, the ambiance is very nice inside. The crab app is delicious. As are the pork and shrimp entrees. I recommend the apple crisp for dessert.

We were given a gift card by one of my husband's clients and were happy to try it again for the first time in years. We were told to sit at the bar and watch the team cook. You will need to reserve these seats a few weeks in advance as there are only 6 bar seats. It was a fun experience but I think I would choose a table next time to be a little more comfortable. I did not remember what we had on our last visit, but we ended up ordering pretty much the same things with a few exceptions. The bread to start with is delicious! Warm soft center with a nice crust. Hubby had the 1/2 spinach salad and I had the 1/2 chopped without bacon or onion. Still large portions for both. I chose the angel hair puttanesca with no anchovies or onions and light garlic. It was delicious and a huge portion! I couldn't even eat 1/3 of it. Hubby had the crab cake dinner and loved it. He said they have some of the best crab cakes he has ever had. We shared a crème brûlée dessert that was good but torched a little too much. I took my own wine and their corkage fee is $25. A bit high for this area. Hubby enjoyed some light beers. Our server Gary was very nice and able to accommodate all our requests. True authentic Italian fare. We will go back soon. Reservations recommended.

Second time here. Such a cute little place. I really loved their decor and all the little touches. We had filet and lamb chops, both amazing. My fav was the tuna appetizer though, very generous portion and great quality tuna. Service was on point too: our waitress checked on us frequently and water was refilled throughout the dinner too.

Love Dwight's, always have such an excellent meal here. The service is fantastic and you feel like family here. It is in a quaint shopping center but you'd never know after walking in. Great wine, food, service. Everything comes out fast and fresh.

Excellent service from Katie. Everyone was friendly. Private room for party of 18. Preset meal "schmear" ... food very good! 6-courses with choice of entree. The filet was easily one of the most tender. Told the scallops were delicious & many got the sea bass - while nice and flaky - wasn't as flavorful as expected. The homemade lemon cake was a nice finish. All in a cool place to dine & celebrate. Open for dinner. Next to Cinnoti's ... share parking lot.

Amazing and delicious food!! We had early reservations, and trust me you will need reservations! There are many locals who knows of this spot and it's been around for years. Homemade pastas, bread, everything! Now I will say, do not let the plating of the food fool you...it isn't your typical Picadilly cafe food - it's flavorful, worth every bite, and leaves a mark on the tongue...mouthwatering! Will come back again.

This little delightful place was a delicious treat! I would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Italian dishes. They only serve beer and wine but have a nice selection.

Dwight's is my go-to special occasion restaurant at the beach. The service is always top notch and I have never had a bad experience! The surf and turf is my favorite dish, the steak is always cooked perfect.

Absolutely incredible place. First time here, had the crabcakes and the foie gras appetizers. Then had the Seabass and the fillet mignon. Finished it with the Keylime cheesecake. Total of six glasses of wine. Everything was absolutely incredible. We will certainly reserve the bar for seating next time. Thanks for awesome experience and evening.

Service was fantastic and food was amazing! Very knowledgeable servers on all the menu items and wine, with recommendations of their favorites. Love to visit local restaurants on business trips and avoid the same old chains. You will not be disappointed with Dwight's! It's not fancy so dress casual and enjoy an amazing Italian evening. I will definitely be back next time in Jax!
