This spot is a hidden gem! I booked a table for 6 at 2pm on a Saturday for a group of girlfriends. They have a large selection of pottery pieces to paint and a wide variety of paints to choose from. Our table was booked for 2 hours but we weren't timed/rushed out and probably went 15 minutes over our timeslot. The $10 deposit to book the table was deducted from my total and the table would've fit 8 people. This is a great activity, especially as it begins to get cooler out.

I wanted a fun family event to do with all my kids and hubby for my birthday. Decided to come here as the littles enjoyed the story time events that they offer. This was our first time not attending a special event. I was easily able to reserve the table online and when we arrived day of it was all set up with my name of the board. Everyone was having a great time at first then my two year old didn't like something then had a fit. The staff was helpful and brought over some crayons and coloring papers that they use for younger children. It also came in handy when the four year old was done with his art work.

For Mother's Day my daughter wanted to spend some time together. Since we both are artistic-minded, we decided to go paint at Dojng Dishes. We made a reservation and off we went! The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Picking our paints was easy and our table placement was such that we were able to hold a conversation and we weren't in the busiest part of the studio. We felt that the selection of items to paint was good and we both found pieces we were excited to paint. Checkout was a breeze and our pieces were ready for pickup within the next 3 days! Highly recommend Dojng Dishes!

A friend and I took our 3 year olds here. They had a lot of fun picking out a piece of pottery to paint and then doing the painting. Kathy and Ireland were very sweet and helpful. Our girls got a little excited and ran around a little. The employees had a lot of patience with them. The reason for the 4 stars is for the price. $30-$50 for a piece of pottery is slightly ridiculous. It's not something we would probably do again just because of the price. On top of that, you have the option to tip. As much as I would have loved to top them $40 later I just couldn't spend the extra money. If the prices of the pottery were slightly less I would have tipped.

Such a cute little place! I remember coming here as a kid and loving decorating my own pottery pieces. I recently came back with my younger sisters and boyfriend. We all had a great time choosing pieces and painting them. There is a wide variety of pieces to choose from plus so many beautiful paint colors. I made a reservation with no issues and the place was not crowded (surprisingly) for a Saturday afternoon. The price per piece is reasonable (since it includes the piece, color, time, glaze, and the firing process) but it is on the higher end of the price range. Doing Dishes has a relaxing atmosphere, and a very friendly and helpful staff. Truly a great place for adults and children. We will definitely be back in the future!

My husband and I came here to recreate our very first date for our first year marriage anniversary. For our first date, he took my to a similar place in Charlotte, NC called "Dish It Out." So we wanted to pottery paint and this was the only place in Jacksonville. Their selection of pottery to paint is very limited and slightly overpriced (but it makes sense since they are the only location in close proximity to us).

This is a perfect activity space if you want something artistic to do. The have a wide range of pottery pieces to paint that range from plates to seasonal items such as holiday ornaments. You can find a gift here to give to someone and personalize it yourself. The pieces that you paint are ready in a week. There is also a large table in the back that can host a small party. I would return!

My husband and I came here to make a "birthday plate" for our infant so he can use it each year on his birthday. We brought our 6 month old & decided to let him "finger" paint a plate also to give to grandma for Christmas. The staff was so welcoming and helpful & made the entire experience so enjoyable. I think the prices are fair considering you only pay for the pottery and the paint, firing, etc is all included in that price. We paid $25 for a large plate and I think that's appropriate. We are definitely coming back! Side note, they have a nice changing table in the bathroom and are super baby friendly which is nice.

I love painting pottery and have found similar places in every city I have lived. Been to this location twice now and both times disappointed. They don't let you get your own paint and only give you a tiny amount. They are always gossiping about customers or employees. Impossible to ask for more paint without getting eye rolls. This time my pieces have come out streaky and blotchy because I had to ask 6 times for paint and finally gave up. They have awesome selection of pottery, okay options for paint colors, and snacks. Great for a first time or maybe a one time go. If you want to make something beautiful to display or use in your home, I would skip.
