Delicias Colombianas Jax 2

Visited this spot over the weekend and was disappointed with my small plates of food. I went here for some empanadas and the arepa with choco & queso. The service was great and the restaurant was clean and well laid out. I ordered one of the queso and one of the beef empanadas along with the arepa. I figured I would start small and if I liked them, I would order more. I also ordered the tostones, but they were out of this item. The empanadas were 2 bite pieces. I enjoyed the cheese empanada more than the beef, but not enough to make a return trip. The beef empanada just wasn't flavorful enough for me to enjoy it. The arepa with chocolate and queso was so over cooked it was hard. Hard to tear apart and hard to eat. I couldn't taste any chocolate, mostly from the over cooked corn. I did not get a photo is this.

I think I have become a tad addicted to Delicias Colombianas! I order probably once a week, but have ordered two or three times in a week, easily. The food always tastes, incredibly fresh, and they have such a variety that I can always get something crave worthy. I absolutely love their empanadas because they are a perfect size. They are filled well and they are delicious! They have this amazing sauce that is like a yellow. Very mild salsa, but not really. I am not sure what it is but if they bottled it, I would buy it because it is like nothing I have ever had. I'm honestly not sure what it's supposed to go with because I put it on everything. I love the chicharron dipped in it and I love it on the plantains too. Their sausage is wonderful. I have eaten in the restaurant as well and the service is great. The staff are very friendly and the food is even more amazing fresh. However, being delivered 20 minutes later, it is also amazing. If I had any criticism, it would be that sometimes the chicharron and chorizo can be a little overcooked and dry, but I think it may just depend on the cook. It definitely does not stop me from ordering!! I will continue to ordering from here because it is just that great. I highly suggest trying it. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

Went to watch a futbol game. Just had a cheese arepa which was very good. It's a small location in a "not so" great area, but the people were very sweet and tried to be quick despite the crowds that night.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant.Got the picada con queso which I've never seen cheese on any picada but who doesn't like cheese ! Loved it you get yellow potatoes, French fries all the way in the bottom of the tray. A darken arepa paisa, and then the usual meats plenty of everything. About 6 ppl ate from that tray.Then we ordered the chicken and steak empanadas which were yummy It comes with a yellowish and rather sweet aji.Good stuff, would order again

I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this gem. Tucked away in a large, slightly skeevy strip mall on Blanding, between Collins and I295, the store was clean, airy and well-lit, and populated by customers mostly speaking Spanish. A good sign.I had the Bandeja Paisa, and it did not disappoint. Even though I was hungry, I wasn't sure I'd be able to finish my meal. (Spoiler: I did )The staff kept my iced tea filled, and there is a bakery/pastry station at the rear.I was a -little- surprised to see a 3.5% 'convenience' fee included in the pricing when the bill arrived. Didn't see any mention of that posted anywhere, but I didn't go looking for such a notice, either. Not enough of an INconvenience to prevent a return visit.There is another location on Beach Blvd.

Very good. Had Colombian cheeseburger, Colombian breakfast and the shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious and well priced. Will be back.

My wife and I got lost in the Orange Park area and decided to stop for food. We'd originally planned to go to one of our local favorites but they moved. We tried this places and it was pretty good. I had a chicken empanada and a Tostoncitos Rancheros, which is a dish served with beef sausage, peppers, onions, and tostones. There is also a sauce that goes with it. It was very hearty and was great comfort food. I had a mango fruit drink to go with my meal. I think there was a bit of a language barrier here because I asked for beef empanadas.

Food and service was great,was surprised to see a Columbian restaurant here! definitely recommend it to my friends

My sister and I go regularly to get the ajiaco for lunch on Fridays. It is delicious and we always have a good experience there. Kevin. Michelle, Leonardo, or Heidy always welcome us in as friends. The restaurant is clean and well managed. - Belinda

My husband had the bandeja paisa and I had the carne asada-- both flavorful and delicious. The beans and the chicharon were our favorite parts of the bandeja. The carne asada was great without additional sauce or seasoning, smokey to taste and thin to my liking. I would probably ask for more salad than fries next time. There was a soccer game playing on 3/4 screens of the restaurant, so we were entertained too. Service was prompt and the staff was so kind. We will definitely be coming back :)
