Deerwood Rotary Children's Park

I had to take my mom to an appointment at the Mayo and had my kids with me. I looked up a playground close by and saw this one was 10 minutes away. The pictures online looked great but do not represent the current state of the playground. There is a large hole in the artificial grass, one of the playgrounds had a board up due to a broken area. The bathroom was disgusting. Pee or water was all over the floor, no soap in the bathroom. Would not recommend.

I highly recommend this playground for crawlers or early walkers. I have been to numerous parks with my 9 month old and this was the first one he actually crawled around at. The ground is turf with soft gravel underneath and it is great to just sit on. We sat underneath one of the play sets in the shade and it was a fantastic time for us. Our longest time at a park so far!

This is a sweet little playground with everything you need for small kids. Equipment is pretty safe without tall drop-offs and a gate that keeps littles from escaping in all directions. My kids love it.Has a covered picnic area and a few benches throughout. Fake grass keeps feet and clothes clean.Bathrooms are right next to playground which is comvienient although our last visit, they had puddles and were causing a funky smell throughout the playground.

LOVE THIS PARK!!! Perfect size and fenced. Best part it has turf instead of sand or grass. But it does have a sand area if that's your kids thing. Clean restrooms and a nice covered picnic table.

Great little park for toddlers. The fake grass is easy for my son to crawl or walk on. They also have a set of infant swings.

Part of why I bring my 8 yr old brother here is because it's SO close to my apartment complex. Not only that - he actually loves it. Turns out there's a big difference between "little kid" and "big kid" types of playground equipment. Well it's 8 yr old approved - it's cool enough for the big kids haha.The best part for the us adults, is the faux grass and faux tire/make shift of flooring material. I have no idea what material it really is, but it's amazing - it's bouncy, light on your feet to stand for a while or run around and it doesn't get the kiddos all dirty.My one concern is the water fountains - it's clear they have been outside for a while. They don't seem to be the most sanitary or most useful. The adult/taller fountain doesn't work and I think the children's one is rusted over. Over all, it's a great open park. It just needs a little TLC.Rando advice - I wouldn't hang too late in the evening. The park is very tucked back into a shaded area that is easy to miss since it is located on the bend of a curvy road. Just go play when it's sunny and bright out - it's better that way, anyways!

A hidden gem of a park! We don't live local but our pediatrician is close by. My toddlers (now 3, then 2 when we visited) loved it. They love colorful parks and it's amazingly difficult to find one colorful like this. It's the small things right? :) Plenty of different sized slides as the pics posted here show. There's a larger sized swing with a chest belt. There's decent shade here, but I always try to get to the park in the morning in the summer before it's too hot. I love the fake grass too! Your toddler will love it here.

My 16 month old had a blast here. It's the perfect size of equipment for her age and motor experience. There were only a few things that she couldn't do, but it was arranged in a way that didn't affect her safety. This is the first playground that I could let her run free(ish).

This is a great park for kids under 5. Very colorful and plenty of crawling space on the equipment. Clean bathrooms, water fountains, easy parking. We drive 20 minutes to take our kids here because it's so much better than our local parks.

Great little park with astro turf instead of mulch or sand. Male and female restrooms. It's on the smaller side but mostly fenced in. Kids (1 and 5) love it. Took a few aerial pictures.
