Ah......Our second visit.Food is just amazing. They started off with a little teaser.Goat cheese, beet, and mango, I believe....Unexpectedly delicious. We then proceed with the grilled octopus and Caesar salad for our appetizer. The salad was perfection, and the octopus.....Dang!Flavorful and tender. Our mains were the Chilean sea bass, wagyu, and filet mignon. Each dish just amazing. We finalized the evening with the roasted banana cheesecake, and a chocolate mousse.Unfortunately not the mousse on the menu (guessing they were out), but instead something improvised.A dark chocolate mousse, with cake crumbles, strawberries and what appeared to be small cherry tomatoes.Odd, but it worked very well. The service was stellar, as we were well attended to. Our table had a little card on there, congratulating us on our anniversary. And they sent us off with a little extra: mango macaroons......The ambiance is nice and quiet, even as it was a busy evening. This place is highly recommended......

We went for a friend's birthday, and even though we couldn't get a reservation they were able to seat us within an hour. The food was lovely and service was good. They started us with a chest of beautiful sourdough focaccia and butter. The seafood gnocchi had a TON of seafood (including a full lobster tail) and only maybe a dozen gnocchi in the bowl. However I was not expecting it would be a huge bowl of hot soup (on a hot day!) It was super flavorful and I'm glad I got it, but it was also tricky to eat because the shrimp had tails on and the lobster was hard to remove from the shell, plus the stew was piping hot making it extra tricky to remove the shells. I was glad I was there with close friends. Picking shells off steaming hot seafood would not be ideal on a first date or a formal event!Another friend got the Wagyu steak which she seemed to enjoy but wasn't overwhelmed by.They also didn't do anything to acknowledge my friend's birthday, unfortunately. However we still had a great time!

We were in Savannah and went to David's for dinner. It was an amazing dinner and service was delish. We enjoyed the mussels and salads. The steak was well prepared. The highlight was the banana cheesecake! I highly recommend! Unique and delicious meal was enjoyed!

David's is our favorite restaurant on Amelia Island. The food is incredible. It's one of the best restaurants we have been too. The lobster and fish dishes are delicious and the filet cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding. The ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend you visit this culinary delight.

I recently accompanied some friends to have a celebratory dinner at David's restaurant lounge in Fernandina Beach. The restaurant has its own private parking lot. Interior of the restaurant seemed upscale and quiet which was great for lively conversation. We were happy with the menu and the food tasted wonderful. Also, very attentive and helpful. We like the touch of the iPad devices with information about the drinks as well as dessert menus. I would recommend this restaurant for date night or celebrating something special. It is worth the drive to check out.

Down and Dirty: Delicious food beautifully plated. Service was not the best. Drinks were tasty. Ambiance was chaotic. Food was very pricey. Probably won't go again. Made reservations for my 40th birthday with 8 of my closest friends. We drank and dined on delicious food/cocktails. Pricing was a bit ridiculous but knew that going in. Wouldn't come again unless it was for a really special occasion. Service was decent. Kendall was our server. As the "birthday girl" I was disappointed that I was the last person the waiter asked for food/drink order. He really didn't treat me like a special guest or make sure I was cared for like you'd expect from a pricing upscale establishment on your birthday. To top it off, I got no dessert for my birthday or even asking if I wanted to order dessert. Not impressed. Atmosphere was not great. We were sat in a room at the far back left and had i guess 3-4 other parties in there. It was so loud I could barely hear the conversation at my table. I had to yell to communicate. Not what you want at an upscale dinner for your 40th birthday.

This is one of the last restaurants on the island we hadn't been to, so we tried it on Christmas Eve. It was a prefixed menu, so we both ended up having the sea bass- it was delicious! The atmosphere, drinks and desserts (pie) were also great. A bit expensive, but a great spot for a special occasion.

If you're visiting Amelia Island like we are, you may ask your hotel staff for dining recommendations, and they will often recommend restaurants affiliated with the hotel.Don't do that. Go to David's.No, seriously. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience where every little detail is perfect and every food item is beyond excellent, this is the place. We dined at David's in celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary and David's staff were very kind and accommodating. From perfectly made cocktails to delicious appetizers to mind-blowing main courses, it was just incredible. Normally when we go to a place there's something we can find that possibly needs improvement. Not at David's. It's worth every penny and then some. You will not be disappointed!

We had a lovely evening dining with family. The entrees of Steak filet, Lobster, and Rack of Lamb were fabulous! The presentation was top quality as well as the food. The creme brûlée was perfect to end the evening!

My husband took me to David's for our wedding anniversary. The building appearance is beautiful outside and inside is more modern yet ambient. The staff were top notch, very attentive and knowledgeable of menu offerings. The surroundings were very peaceful and the tables all have privacy in mind and there was no obnoxious music, instead soft instrumental. As far the seating, aesthetic, and privacy we got exactly what we had hoped for an anniversary dinner. The only area David's disappointed me was the main course. The filet was tender and cooked to perfection but not as flavorful as I expected it to be. The potatoes were good but needed salt. The grilled carrots were the best thing on our plates. Desserts were very small portions but they were absolutely wonderful. I had the crème brûlée and my husband has the roasted banana cheesecake. We were treated to two bite size macarons 'compliments of the chef' that were tasty. All in all if you are looking for a truly expensive, ambient, white table cloth candle lit dinner -- this is the place! Looking back I wish we had skipped dinner and had appetizers and dessert. I would certainly go back but not for a main course as it just didn't deliver for me, not for that price. Highly recommend however because the general experience was so wonderful.
