Daruma Japanese Steak House

We came here for my kiddo's family birthday dinner, at his request. It was a Thursday, so it wasn't super crowded, which was nice. When we arrived we were immediately shown to our table.The server was nice, got our drink orders, and then came back for our entree orders. I love their soup here, super simple, but super delicious.When we ordered our entrees we noticed on the kid's menu they don't offer combos like they do on the adult menu. My kiddo had a hankering for both chicken and steak, so we ordered him the steak, I got the steak and chicken and gave him my chicken, and my husband got the steak and chicken.So typically when we've come here we love the food and the entertainment of having a hibachi chef. They normally make it really interactive and fun, this time around was a different story. Our hibachi chef was pretty lackluster, no throwing the egg, no funny quips about the rice or veggies. It wasn't really dinner and a show.One of my favorite items is the Japanese fried rice, because I like the crispy bits you get when it's cooked on the hibachi....no crispy bits.The steak was cooked perfectly, the chicken was flavorful, but disappointed in the lack of show and the rice this time around. I'm hoping this is a one off.

Stopped by for dinner tonight and hibachi presentation was awesome! Quick, great service! The cook was phenomenal with his cooking skills and respectful. I had the Hot Green Tea (weather was in the 40's today) so it was nice to keep me warm and cozy.The Scallops and Lobster Tail Hibachi with steamed white rice was amazing! The Scallops were cooked to perfection! Lobster Tail was nice and buttery. Vegetable was seasoned. Partner had the Chicken Hibachi with fried rice and a cherry coke.

Not much sushi choices and the hibachi was pretty good but not in my top 5. Service was pretty good. It was a pretty busy night when we went for my nephew's birthday.

This is my 2nd visit to Daruma. Both visits were fun, yummy and relaxing. On both visits we ordered the dinner for 2 which includes soup, salad, hibachi fried rice, veggies, noodles, lobster, filet and shrimp. So, so good. The sushi is good and cocktails strong and refreshing.

It's been a little while since I've eaten at Daruma (only because I've moved further away from it. This was a restaurant we frequented often because the entire family loved it. We were there so often, the staff had given each person in our family nick names! The staff is very personable, always attentive, and polite. Can't go wrong with any entree on the menu. I can't speak for the sushi, tho! I've never eaten it... but I've seen many people doing so! The restaurant is ALWAYS busy so it's also always loud at the hibachi tables. The other side of the restaurant and the bar is always a bit quieter. Not a whole lot of room in the lobby for customers to sit & wait for a table. only complaint I have! Most definitely recommend Daruma!

Good experience after going to another hibachi that was disappointing Daruma delivered. Our chef was fun and the food was very tasty. I went with salmon and it was a great choice. It was seared with a garlic butter and was a nice size portion. All the sides of rice, noodles and veggies was well seasoned too. Definitely will be back

Daruma is our go to favorite for Japanese steak house restaurant. On weekends it can be quite busy, leading to a long wait for a table. We went on a Monday so there was little wait for a table. Crystal chose the shrimp and scallops with no noodles and extra vegetables. I had steak and shrimp with noodles. We had got tea. There is a full bar, beer, and sake available. Sushi is on the menu too but Crystal passed this time. All was very good. The cooks always put on a good show. We had a table with a dad and two boys, a couple, and a single guy. The server was very attentive in keeping everyone's drinks refreshed.We noticed that prices have gone up since we last visited about two months ago. I don't blame them as food costs have risen everywhere.

I was supposed to meet a girlfriend here for her birthday dinner. So, I was already here when I got the dreaded call that she could not make it after all. She became ill and had to cancel. So, I went ahead and dined here anyway. So, I asked for a regular table, not the tepenaki table. No problem. I liked the Waitress. She was nice and bubbly. I wanted the bento box. You get to try a little bit of everything this way. The soup was incredible and the salad was just as good. I had to ask for a napkin. I had hot Saki-delicious. The California roll was perfectly rolled and was good. The fried tempura veggies was great, but no banana or pepper slice. The fried rice was okay, but was steaming hot. The chicken was subpar. Now on to the noodles-they we're not hot nor good. Overall, I had a good meal with a great Waitress and pretty good atmosphere. At least three birthday parties of 11 people or more came in while I was there. Good sign. I find it odd that the beautiful fountain near me was filled with water and coins, but it was not flowing or working. Hence stagnant water. It is what it is....I will write another review when I come back with my birthday friend soon. We will sit at the tepanaki table for the cook show. They also sang happy birthday to a patron. I have found a new place to enjoy and dine at now.

Very friendly and fast service on a busy Friday night. We got the teriyaki dinners and they came with both noodles and rice as a side, which was nice.

Great food and show!!! Service excellent!!! Bar setting available while waiting on table was nice. Didn't feel crowded at table like some similar restaurants I've been to in the past.
