This is the second time that we've been to this sushi place. They have hibachi as well, but we have not tried the hibachi. The hibachi is on the left-hand side when you walk in and if you're gonna have sushi Chinese, etc. that's on the right hand side.They also have a bar area, but I'm not sure that they have any kind of happy hour as I don't see it listed on the menu nor did I find it in any of the reviews I've readWe typically start off with a couple of appetizers and then a roll or two. We walked in and we were immediately sat. The server asked us if he wanted to drink, and we ordered a large saki and waterWe knew we wanted to try the bao buns, spicy tuna avocado salad, and we tried the roti. The roti was the only thing we were not crazy about the bao buns and spicy tuna avocado were delicious.Last time I remembered, we got fried jalapeños and they were delicious, but we wanted to try something different this time We asked for a recommendation for a roll and requested no cooked fish and no crab. The server asked if we like spicy and he recommended the sweetheart roll. I did not find it spicy at all. It was just OK I've had better. Overall the majority of the items we've gotten here we've loved and even if we did not love it they were still OK

Celebrated my birthday here and tried their hibachi tables. Cozy atmosphere. Our server was very nice and efficient. The teppanyaki grill chef was friendly and cooked everything perfect. I had the hibachi shrimp (16 count serving) and my daughter had the salmon. Served with clear soup & creamy ginger salad, both were very good. Fried rice, veggies, & seafood were all cooked well and served warm with sauces. They even brought out a drum at the end and sang me happy birthday! It was a fun entertaining dinner! Everyone was very nice and helpful! We will definitely be back!!

This was one of the best hibachi places I've been to around here! Our chef was great and very entertaining throughout. The food tasted really good and was flavorful, the portions were large especially in comparison to most hibachi places! It was my birthday and they gave us a complimentary dessert and also all the employees came and sang to me, it was very sweet! It was a typical hibachi restaurant with nice seating and a non hibachi section as well. Overall the restaurant was a great experience and I'll definitely be going back!

The soft opening was March 31. It is just a few miles from our home. Although the restaurant was nearly empty the service was great. Very extensive menu. We went with MIL and ordered several appetizers. Everything from sushi, soup to chicken lettuce wraps was great. This is in the strip behind McDonalds on 210 which is not a great site.

We were in the mood for something lighter so we decided on Asian. My husband saw that Daruma recently opened so we hopped in the car to give it a try. We came pretty late for bedroom community standards but were surprised to see they are open until 10p. The decor is fun and modern. Our server was very attentive and gave great recommendations. We had the bao appetizer, which was nicely balanced and not too fatty or chewy. We split two rolls which were also pretty good - nice flavors and not overly stuffed with cheaper ingredients. Their pricing was on par with similar restaurants in the area.

Daruma Japanese Restaurant was a pleasant discovery. The atmosphere had a cozy and relaxed vibe, ideal for a casual hangout with friends. The sushi was fresh and presented nicely. We didn't try the hibachi, but saw the chef throwing eggs in the air was fun. Definitely will try it next time. We also sampled some cocktails, which were well-made, I like the special sake mixed with Lychee a lot. The staff were friendly and ensured we felt welcome. Overall, it was a decent dining experience, and the price is very reasonable. I will probably try again when we come back to St.Agustine for Christmas light show.
