First time coming here expecting a great beef shawarma but unfortunately was as good as I expected; I will come back though to try some other things in the menu. The restaurant looks pretty nice inside and the service is ok nothing out of the extraordinary; I feel they could do a better job in that sense.

I ran into this place just because I was driving around that plaza. It looked cool so I decided to give it a try. OMG I am so happy I did. Everything was absolutely amazing. My husband and I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate and the Beef Shawarma wrap. First of all, they are huge! The Shawarma was perfection. Crispy on the outside and warm, juicy and filled with flavor. The Chicken platter was super flavorful and has great sides too. I am so glad we found our new go-to spot for this cuisine. Service was great and the place is definitely one where you can go relax and have fun. Go try it!

**Review of Damascus Kitchen, Jacksonville, Florida**As someone hailing from Detroit, Michigan, with over 25 years of experience enjoying Middle Eastern cuisine, I had high hopes for Damascus Kitchen in Jacksonville, Florida. I recently tried their chicken shawarma sandwich and fattoush salad, and my experience was a mixed bag.Starting with the chicken shawarma sandwich, I found it to be good overall. The chicken was fresh and flavorful, though there was a noticeable hint of too much salt. Despite this, it was still manageable and enjoyable, thanks to the freshness and overall taste. However, my experience with the fattoush salad was quite the opposite. Both my wife, who absolutely loves salt, and I could barely take more than one bite. The salad was overwhelmingly salty to the point of being inedible. Having had authentic fattoush many times before, I know it typically requires very little salt. Additionally, the salad lacked the traditional pita chips, making it fall short of what one would expect from a proper fattoush. While I wouldn't completely dismiss Damascus Kitchen based on this experience, as I am a strong supporter of Middle Eastern restaurants, I would caution others to be mindful of the salt levels in their dishes. I am willing to give them another chance and hope to have the option to request "hold the salt" in the future. If not, I might have to reconsider my patronage. For now, I am giving Damascus Kitchen a 3-star rating, with the hope that future visits will offer a more balanced and authentic experience.

I loved the chicken swarma it tasted so good and the chicken had an amazing sweet sauce on it that brought it together. It is a hookah lounge I went during lunch and it was empty. I would order Togo next time or come for dinner. The lunch order took about 20 mins to make but it was worth it.

The flavors were amazing, we had the beef wrap and falafel , and had a free side of the chicken. The wait time was a bit long, but worth the wait.Only negative I would say is the restroom conditions...Would definitely return for the amazing food

Y'all...Tonight I switched it up and got beef shawarma instead of chicken. And extra toum and pickles, my new go to. I rarely eat red meat... yet my serotonin levels were still doing their thing. The sorcery...they marinate their beef in the same (if not similar) spices as their chicken. I still prefer the chicken because I'm not big on red meat but I'm down for getting it again for sure.

The food was good, though I specifically asked for a side salad and was told it was included, which there was no salad. Further I waited 40 minutes to receive my order. We ordered a platter because we're gluten free, which we also specifically mentioned and still had our protein wrapped in pita. Whereas the food was good the service was abysmal and ultimately I didn't receive what I specifically asked for.
