As a first time customer of this location, I booked online to have medium single braids done for $175 by Jessica. Navigation sent me to the wrong address making me late for my appt but I was so happy she still accommodated me that I handed her $20 cash off the bat as I went to sit in her chair just for her understanding. I provided her with needed hair and she went to work.My hair was braided in a reasonable amount of time, they were not too tight and I was okay with the final look. I received answers to my questions on how to maintain the look and expressed my plan to return to her when I needed to be shampooed to maintained the hairstyle as long as possible. She engaged in pleasant conversation and I gave her a $30 tip on top of the earlier $20 thank you when I arrived.4 DAYS later I began to notice that several of my braids knots had begun PREMATURELY SLIPPING down the length of my hair. It was approx 1/8 of an inch and along the back of my head. Since I wear my braids half up but down in the back I wasn't too concerned at the time. On day 7, as I got ready to head to work, I notice that NOW the knot had slipped at least 1/2 inch down my hair so nowI was concerned since I was told the style should last up 2 months and this was only one week but things happen so I thought it would be an easy fix. I texted Jessica first chance I got, as you can see in the screen shots below. I was flabbergasted at her accusation that I was confrontational because I simply expressed surprise at being charged to have to come in an correct braids that did not take well. Money was a problem since I just wanted the problem corrected so, as you can see in the text, I asked her if she had an appointment available that Saturday so I could come in. *Note: I'm not a conformational person person especially when it comes to expecting great customer service. I just take my business elsewhere BUT clearly I wasn't upset with her being confrontational since I was planning to pay and come back for her to correct the braids that were coming apart despite the care I took with them, according to her instructions, and that they were JUST DONE. Jessica sent the last UNPROFESSIONAL and ANGEY TONE that she basically refused to correct the braids which were done poorly by her . Considering her hostile attitude, I am definitely ok not returning. I never knew it existed before that day and will certainly forget it existed in a few days. I have no doubt that some customers have had a good experience there. I did as well until the service I receive began FALLING APART only 4 days later! Stylist and business owner, that refuses to correct their poor workmanship (even when the customer has accepted paying for that correction) is an embarrassment to the business owners and stylist who stand behind their work and provide great customer service. I rarely leave reviews but this one sadly needed to be done.
