I love the atmosphere and service at this place. It's just super chill and friendly, and somehow it just makes you feel welcome.I had the reuben, the baklava, and a Sprite.The reuben was really good with just the perfect ratio of pastrami to cheese to dressing to bread. The pastrami was fresh and soft. The bread was crispy and buttery. The only thing that would make it better would be rye bread instead of white bread.The baklava was a 1 out of 5, unfortunately. Several reasons. 1.) It's a massive hunk of baklava, which is not how baklava is typically served. 2.) It's $8 a piece. 3.) It's way too sweet ... just drenched in honey which overpowers all the other flavors. I took a couple bites and had to throw the rest away ... something I never do with baklava as it's my favorite.

Place is awesome. Had the greek salad with shrimp. Incredible. Fast, fantastic lunch. Gotta come back.

Good spot to go and get breakfast sandwiches or lunch at. They definitely give you a good amount of bacon and eggs on your breakfast bagel. I always ask them to add some cream cheese to the bagel, in addition to the regular cheese and it's always the right choice to do that.The owner and staff here are really friendly and great too!

D&G Deli & Grill "updated" after thoughts: place accommodates both indoor & outdoor seatings that's clean & well managed. Though the establishment is operated mainly but two staff, they're both organized & able to creates each order in a timely manner. THIS GORGEOUS SUN-KISSED SUNDAY & VERY UNPLANNED POST-HART BRIDGE DAY... led back to this TOP-NOTCH "TUNA MELT" ($1 fries) - MUST CONSUME NOW!!! Have also had their "egg & cheese bagel" that is was too enjoyable!!! A MUST TRY & REPEAT!!! .5 (4.5 of 5 - dill pickle side, a must for the other .5) 2/19/22 + 3-3-24.

Nice counter guy. Weird patty melt, served with chips (fries are 1.99 extra) and a patty melt without fries isnt the same. But I didnt need to eat that many fries! A patty melt should be griddled and have rye bread but this wasn't griddled and had wheat toast. Ordered an everything bagel to go, but was given a toasted sesame bagel. I did have it swapped out. I dont think I'll be back. The patty melt and to go bagel totaled $19 and wasn't really worth it.

Located on the block behind the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk. I stopped by just before closing. Someone was cleaning and mopping the floor after a day of customers. I was happily greeted by two friendly gentleman with lovely accents. I asked for a sandwich suggestion while already thinking of a reuben. He suggested a corned beef sandwich which came on a pressed roll reuben style. The chef told me it'll be the best reuben I've ever had and he was right!!!

On the fence between 4 and 5, rounding up. It makes no sense for this hole in the wall sandwich place to be anywhere near as good as it is, given the nondescript location deep in the highly desolate downtown Jacksonville. (I was here for a conference, and I just wish their hours had allowed me to ever go back.) The falafel wrap, which was all I had (otehr than a few of a friend's fries) was genuinely the best I'd had in months, with falafel fried fresh to order and with a great taste, a soft and un-stale pita, and warmth from a press. Might be the only good food in downtown Jax, which makes its limited hours unfortunate.

Service was phenomenal! I don't go downtown often but decided to grab some breakfast before I head to work. They were very friendly and made my food extremely fast. So glad I found this spot! Can't go wrong with breakfast!
