Crossfit Salt de Terre was amazing! I was a walk-in for a 6am class and from the moment I walked it- I felt welcome! Amy was the coach and she made feel welcome. All members wash their hands before and after the workout and all equipment is wiped down! I will definitely visit again if I'm in town!!! Thank you for your hospitality!

Any of you that might follow me for reviews would know that I don't review places that aren't restaurants or cafes. It just isn't my shtick. However, that Amy has made a gym is such an excellent caliber that I'm breaking my rule. This is literally the first review I have ever written on google for none food or coffee related establishment.I've been to several great gyms in my "fitness journey" but there really is something extraordinary about what Amy has put together here. First off, Amy is ridiculously exceptional and the technical pieces of Crossfit. The level that she can break a movement down, and coach a person through it is top-tier. She, and all of the coaches, also do a remarkable job of making sure everyone gets attention. One of the ways she does this is by limiting class sizes to a manageable number of members. You will NEVER make it through a class without a coach coming by to evaluate your form and give you pointers on how you can improve. It's really this level of personal attention and attention to excellence that sets Salt de Terre apart from other gyms.On top of the day-to-day WODs, Amy also puts a lot of effort into hosting clinics for specific movements and areas of the body. I've been to a Jump-Rope-Clinic and a few mobility clinics, and I honestly don't really get the chance to go to many. Amy, again, takes it to the next level though. After any clinic you can expect to see pieces of the clinic incorporated into the warm ups of the next classes. She doesn't just present the information to her members, she incorporates it into her style, into the coaching mentality of the gym.And all this was before COVID. To say I've been blown away my Salt de Terre's response to this would be an understatement. First Amy reduced class sized and had people disinfecting stuff. Then when the gym had to close, she didn't miss a beat. She loaned out gym equipment to the members and were almost immediately hosting online Zoom workouts multiple times a day. Then she added yoga classes (hosted by some of the gym members that teach yoga), and then a mental health clinic, and then weekend get together events (baking, make-up, murder mystery, etc). While I can't imaged the effort this took, you would think she had already prepared for it. That's how seamless it felt.I honestly can't recommend Salt de Terre, Amy, and the staff there enough. If you like Crossfit style workouts (no AC, lots of movement, and no treadmills) that you will absolutely love Salt de Terre. And as much as I hope you don't steal my gym spot, I really do hope you check it out.Let's be real, there are thousands of gyms in the city and most of them have the same equipment. You don't go to a gym because of the equipment, you go because of the coaching (at least you should). And Amy is one of the best coaches I have ever had, and she's one of the best coaches you can ever have too.

Salt de Terre is like no other gym I've ever experienced. The focus and attention Amy and her coaches give to each and every member always makes me feel both motivated to work harder, as well as confident that they are watching out for my safety. I did not join CrossFit as a natural athlete, but have been welcomed into the Salt de Terre community with open arms just the same. Whether you are (like me) a weightlifting newbie, or as seasoned competitor, this gun will make you feel welcomed and support your growth from the moment you walk in.

Amy has been my coach for a long time (2015), back before she started this gym I used to be the only one in the 6:30 class sometimes which became essentially a private lesson, my how times have changed. As a CrossFit athlete I present a number of challenges, i've had multiple knee surgeries, and now require another knee and shoulder surgery which I'm not getting and so I generally have some kind of need for modification on just about everything we do in CrossFit. For Amy that is never a problem it's more like a fun challenge. Other gyms/boxes I've been to don't like to modify things or look down on you if you need them to but I've never felt that way here. This is a great gym full of great people and I would especially recommend it for someone just starting out. The other coaches, Colby, Shea, and Phillip, are great coaches who care I will do everything they can to make you a better version of yourself.

This placed changed everything for me. I have been attending classes at this gym for over 1 and 1/2 years and I am now stronger than I ever thought I could be. My labor intensive job isn't so intense anymore. I have been injury free thanks to the great coaching and programming. On top of that the atmosphere and community are welcoming, fun-loving, all-inclusive. We work towards our individual goals, competing with ourselves whilst being inspired by each other. Amy and her team of coaches provide expert, detailed feedback, just the right amount of push, and all the support. (Oh and there's a craft brewery/bar next door to help you celebrate your weekly achievements!)

This place is my absolute favorite CrossFit place to go in Jax. I've been to gyms in cities all along the east coast and Salt de Terre, is one of the best I've seen. Everyone is friendly and the place is always kept super clean. It's exactly what I look for in a gym.

I came to Salt de Terre while traveling to Jacksonville and loved it. I hadn't been to a gym in a while and all the coaches were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and engaging. Looks like a great community, highly recommend trying it out!
