If you are a crab cake lover you will enjoy the cakes here. They have crab meat and less filling. The service by M! was on point. The setting and bar area ambiance is nice too.I would recommend you go to the Sunday bunch as you will get to sample many dishes including the spinach dip and she crab soup which I had too.

I was so excited when a friend advised this spot was opening. Since moving to Jacksonville in 2014, I had been hard pressed to find a place serving crab cakes Maryland style. And I get it, Southern cooks love to fry everything lol. I stopped in two days after they opened. I sat at the bar and met a mother and daughter who moved here from Maryland too. They were there for the same reason as me, crab cakes. I was greeted by Vic, the super friendly bartender. I was pleased to see they had several draft beer options. I ordered a hefeweizen German beer but was served a tropical tart beer. I drank it and didn't say anything until it was time for my second beer. I helped him and the manager discover the beer lines were feeding into the wrong tap. I wasn't charged for my first beer and felt good about helping them fix the issue. You have to be understanding when an establishment just opened a few days earlier.I started off with crab bisque soup. Holy moly was it good. I seriously wanted to lick the bowl;) It tasted like Maryland cream of crab soup. I had wished there was a little more crab. But I was still satisfied. Then I ordered my entree, jumbo lump crab cake. When it was served, my mouth instantly started to water. I was patient though, as I had to get my Yelp pics in order before digging in. It was divine! Lots of crab and a little filler just how it should be. The surprise was the dill sauce. I had never tried dill with a crab cake, but it was surprisingly good. I give them a 95% on the crab cake! Nicely done!I'm so thrilled to have the Crabcake Factory not far from home where I can enjoy blue crab as they were intended (at least in Maryland lol). Also, I thought the bar was nice. Kind of like a submarine. Plus, there were several boats inside and outside on the patio. They are still waiting on the permit for the patio but should have it soon. And if you are planning a party, they have a lovely party room.I look forward to taking friends and visitors to this restaurant. And even if I don't have anyone to go with me, I will be back soon!

We had a 6:30 reservation. We arrived at 6:15. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted at the front desk to be checked in. We were then told by the hostess that there would be a 15 min wait. We were seated at 6:32. The hostess explained to us that everything in house was made fresh and expect a bit of wait time. With that understanding, She got us water and bread. Our waiter came about 10 min after and asked us to place our orders because she didn't want us to get caught behind the party of 35 that was present that night. We placed all of our orders (we looked at the menu prior to sitting so we knew what we wanted ).Appetizers: Hot Blue Crab, artichoke, spinach dip - crisp rounds. The appetizer was good. You should wait until it cools before eating The dish starts out soupy but then thickens as it cools. Brian: Old Fashion- Woodford bourbon- it was good Crab cakes- came with yellow rice and potatoes with a lemon aioli sauce. He added creole sauce to it as well. ( Emptied Plate) Tj: House wine: White. Not to sweetCrab Cakes: 2 crab cakes on top of grits with creole sauce (not on menu). Was good. Portion for 2. Ate half and took the rest to go.Our waiter was raw and truthful. We respected it, but I would suggest you take patience and grace with you when you go. Enjoy the time you are there. The tables are dressed with glass and cloth napkins. The lights turned down at 7 pm. Yes, we will be going back.

This was excellent. Stopped by between meetings today so it was a really early dinner or late lunch (1530) depending on how you look at it. Opted for salmon, vegetable of the day and citrus rice. I didn't finish my rice or get desert (even though I'd thought about the Creme brûlée because I was so satiated. The rolls were warm and yummy. The house Pinot hit the mark. Alex was attentive but not hovering. Professional and friendly. This was a perfect mid day break for me.

I loved this ... well love cause I'm still sitting g here as I write this review. First off! No wait !Sat at the bar right away. I noticed they had my three olives vodka (huge fan) they had a new flavor (mango) and mixed it with cranberry. PhE NOMENAL!!!I ordered the crab cake and oysters. I did like the oysters but it wasn't chargrilled as I'm used to but they were still tasty but that crab cake!!!! Babyyyyyyy... loved it.. you can't just eat one ... This is not far from the beach or margaritaville. Maybe a 5 min drive but totally worth it. The music was more for a date night appeal. It would be nice for a dinner of 2. They also take reservations

Unfortunately I had the same experience on Mother's Day as Cynthia B. I did know ahead of time that they did not take reservations but I did not anticipate the unorganized process of sitting people. Blood pressure was high...My mother really wanted to go here for the crabcakes on Mother's Day and I was already forewarned about the bad experiences that people have had here, but we both decided to have our own experience to see. We waited almost 2 hours to be seated, a regular party of two. Their waitlist was the old fashioned how many people/name/phone number paper list. The hostess and manager at the time said that they called my mother's number and no one answered. I know her phone number works as I call her all the time so something was wrong on their end, maybe they left off an area code or something. The place was really loud because of the DJ and they appeared short-staffed. The server was running around like crazy but he did hand us mimosas and told us to help ourselves to the buffet. I checked it out ahead of my Mom and while the food looked ok, I didn't think she'd eat much of it. We left our mimosas and went to find another place to eat.I'm just a regular person but they definitely need a better waitlist process than what they had, maybe one that will text you when your table is ready.

I heard about the Crabcake Factory on the local news regarding its reopening after being closed for 12 years. I was excited about visiting the restaurant and tasting one of my favorite dishes crab cakes. It was Sunday Brunch and the menu was jammed packed with several items from fried fish, jambalaya, shrimp and grits, jerk chicken, fried chicken, grilled salmon, prime ribs, bacon, breakfast sausage, fruit salad, garden salad, shrimp cocktail, several different desserts. The food was great, hot and seasoned to perfection. The only issue was the assortment of cakes (chocolate cake, red velvet and pound cake) we all very dry and hard. The service was great, our server Stephanie was very attentive she made sure our glasses were topped off with water and mimosas. The ambiance set the stage for the menu, Soft R&B and Jazz Music. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to our next visit.

The service was slow, the food was luke warm and the bar closed 15 minutes before the restaurant! We dined on a Thursday night, family of 4, we arrived around 8pm and were seated immediately. The bread baskets arrived before the server greeted our table, the butter and bread had a sweet flavor and the butter was sprinkled with some sort of sugar concoction. It tasted more like dessert than bread service. We asked for two martini's with blue cheese olives a fruit punch, and an escargot appetizer. They were out of escargot, didn't want to make blue cheese olives and they were out of fruit punch. The crab cake appetizer we ordered was good but it was drenched in sauce with an additional side of tarter sauce so the crab was a little overpowered. The crab bisque tasted good but it arrived luke-warm. The Greek salad did not impress, it had black olives instead of kalamative and no red onions. Upon the arrival of our entrees, my husband and I asked for a glass of wine to enjoy with dinner. The server left and returned without the wine and then informed us that the bar was closed, it was 8:50 and there were 3 tables in the dining room. We really wanted to love this neighborhood restaurant but unfortunately we will not be returning. The New York strip was over cooked and the French fries were cold and tasted like they had been sitting for a while. The seafood trio was more like a casserole that was also drenched in sauce. The scallops served in the trio are the small Patagonia scallops unlike the sea scallops were were told about. The salmon, mashed potatoes and veggies tasted like typical cafeteria food drenched in sauce. Seems like the brunch may be the saving grace for this place because our overpriced dinner was not worth a second visit.

Ladies night out and we were looking for seafood. One of my girlfriends recommended this place. The service was outstanding the food was amazing. The ambiance is nice and relaxing. I ordered the Seafood Trio (shrimps, scallops and crab cake) with garlic mash potatoes. Another friend ordered the Seafood Trio with dirty rice and my other friend got the Jumbalya. Food was plated beautifully, nice portion size and the taste was definitely on point. Flavorful and well cooked. Our waiter was a delight with a witty sense of humor and kept us laughing. Truly a great place for seafood and good drinks. They also have a full bar.
