Cousteau's Waffle & Milkshake Bar

So spare a thought for the lovely lady who wrestles the whole restaurant on a Tuesday night alone. She was so wonderful is serving our and the next 9 guests all on her own.. She deserves a pay raise..Its late and we were in the mood to lots of sugar.. The waffles were excellent and served hot and pleantiful. My cinnamon apple waffle was superb. We had 2 milkshakes and judging by the slurping they were fantastic as well. This is a nice late stop off and we will certainly be visiting again this week.. Bravo Cousteau's

Cousteau's waffle and milkshake has a variety of ice cream flavors and treats to choose from. Handmade waffles and handmade milkshakes here! I ordered the matching pajamas : Two halves of a waffle sandwiched around your choice of ice cream, dipped in chocolate. I had the Andies chocolate mint chip ice cream and to be honest, the ice cream was the stand out of the treat! Staff were friendly and the ambiance was quirky but cute.

Fresh tasty waffles! Fun atmosphere, nice music. We love going here for tasty treats and coffee.

The waffles and ice cream are amazing and the service is fantastic. The décor is definitely themed towards nautical and I really enjoyed our time here!

We've been here twice for dessert and love it. Plenty of easy parking and comfortable seating area in a clean and welcoming space. Love having this so close to our home - we will be back again and again!

If you are looking for a unique dessert experience in a Wes Anderson themed location, then this is the place for you! However, you don't have to be a Life Aquatic fan to appreciate Cousteau's.I am not traditionally a milkshake girl, but upon reading the menu I was willing to make an exception. I ordered the Ping Island (no whip) which was a combo of chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallow and graham crackers. Amazing mix of flavors. Even though I'd just eaten dinner I downed this shake like it was my last meal . My friend opted for a waffle treat - the Whirlybird - with an apple compote. If you don't want bells & whistles, there is a wide selection of ice cream available by the scoop or pint. Fast, friendly service to boot! It was 1000% worth the calories! (We went to the Beachside location).

Let me start by saying I am not a huge milkshake/sweets person. I came here because a friend recently told me about the amazing decor and how the entire business is themed after Wes Andersons movie Life Aquatic. I left with a delicious milkshake! It was a little confusing finding this location. We first came to the location in downtown St Augustine. This location has some themed decor but nothing like their beachside location. The decor is actually pretty amazing. I really enjoyed looking at all the pictures and hand painted Murals. The associates were friendly and helpful. They have handmade waffles, hand spun milkshakes and just simply icecream if you don't want it all. The milkshake options all sounded really tasty. If you love milkshakes this is the place for you. I got a espresso milkshake. I also purchased a hat, sticker and shirt because the theme is pretty epic :)

Wow! The Pecan milkshake with crystalized pecans and sauce was out of this world. I honestly don't even want to know how many calories cuz I'm excited to return for the Key Lime Pie shake. Service was friendly and the space is very clean and has great decor. Good booths for all the kids.

We went to the Downtown one years ago and loved it so much that we were so excited one is on A1A now(don't have to worry about parking lol!) the restaurant is huge and the decor/art work is so fun! If you are wondering if there are celebrities on the wall-you are right! We were looking and I was like "well that looks like William Dafoe and that one looks like a Jeff Goldblum" it's because it was them! Drawings from the characters in "The life Aquatic with Steve Zizzou" The toppings for the waffles are so fun and delicious! I got the Belafonte with Nutella but subbed bananas for strawberries! And my husband got the Whirlybird! Both great choices and a perfect sweet treat for a late night craving!

This place is good for a sweet tooth late at night as they're open late. Ice cream choices are too notch! Employees are knowledgeable
