CorkScrew Bar & Grille

My goto restaurant when visiting New Smyrna. Introduced my friends to lunch & $5 margaritas. No disappointment. We were seated immediately, restaurant is decorated for Christmas & packed. Wish I could remember our waitress name as she was as awesome. Even with a full house she gave us her attention, kept our drinks full & very friendly. I had the mahi sandwich which was amazing & my friends raved about the French dip. The margaritas as always awesome.

Good food, a bit overpriced for the quantity.I've been there several times and have always enjoyed everything I have tried but always feel a bit like I've overpaid.

We sat outside and it was lovely. Everyone was in a great mood, sunny warm day. No water views as it's in old New Smyrna. I ordered a crab cake with pineapple slaw. It was good. Only problem was the 45 min wait. I think the waiter had too many tables. Ala in all we will give it another try.

The atmosphere, staff and food were amazing! So glad we tried this place, best French dip ever!!We will be back for sure

Corkscrew is a great lunch/brunch spot! My boyfriend and I were spending the weekend in NSB and trying to avoid the rain when we stopped here. They have a large outdoor section that is covered so we were able to stay dry and watch the rain. It was delicious and great service. We started off with the gator bites appetizer that was on their special menu board of the day and shared a pitcher of beer! The fried gator was crispy and flavorful. We also tried the prime rib French dip that was great. I loved the au jus for dipping that was the best part. The cut of meat was great too. We both agreed it was one of the best French dips we've had. We also tried the tacos that were the special of the day which we liked but the French dip was our favorite. We'd definitely come back!

We started at the bar and had a drink before dinner. The bartender was pleasant and attentive. We got a table and our server came over quickly. I got the southern fried chicken and my wife got the shrimp and grits. The portion for the shrimp and grits was very generous with lots of fresh shrimp. The chicken was cooked just right and it came with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The greens were hands-down some of the best I've ever had.

Ambiance, beautiful, tropical like. Food was excellent and service wonderful. They have a menu that has something for everyone. They are a bit pricey, but we'll worth it. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming! Once you've tried it, you'll go back for more!

We had take out Mahi Mahi with 2 Cesar side salads for $68 which included a 10% gratuity. The fish was dry and sat upon 1 forkful of bland spinach and at least 1 cup of cold white rice. It was supposed to have a mango salsa but that turned out to be a small plastic container of Sauce that resembles the same color as salsa. The restaurant business has certainly changed over the last decade.

We love Corkscrew Bar & Grille in new Smyrna Beach! They offer a nice selection of of wine and cocktails. The food is always fresh and tasty, and their small plates make the perfect appetizer to snack on for Happy Hour. The wait staff is friendly and they are attentive without hovering. The ambience is nice - outside seating you can bring your four-legged family members, and inside you aren't competing to be heard over the noise. The location on Canal Street has parking in the back lot and on the street. So have drinks and dinner and then stroll Canal Street, which is filled with lots of cute boutiques.

Oh lord what is happening???? The steak salad use to be the best! Not so much the last couple of times. The onion straws cold and soggy, the steak is over cooked and chopped up into tiny pieces, you get one or 2 mushrooms. My friend asked for hers to be rare and came out well done. This makes me sad!
